forgot about this, but Robson also gave a black belt to a Chinese multi-millionaire blue belt who greased the wheels in China for an IBJJF tournament.

if you're not a black belt and you're wearing a colored gi (not white or blue) or have a bunch of patches, it means you're probably kind of a tool.

Osssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
<fist bump, start from your knees like a whore>
Slowly regrets ordering his first gi from Origen in gun metal grey……

The Jiu-Jitsu gi color means nothing in reality. While the belt color denotes the rank which has serious significance. The white color uniform is a very primitive color in judo history. It is because the white color in Japanese history symbolizes purity or truth. which become the reason to be adopted in martial arts, especially in Judo and BJJ. The color of rashguards in the no-gi practices doesn't have any logical significance. The International judo federation just regulated the sale of white and blue judo gi. But the IBJJF which is the largest worldwide jiu-jitsu promotion allows black gis as well. This is great for those who fancy themselves as modern-age ninjas. However in the major events, IBJJF world championships, Black belt competitors can only wear a white or blue gi in the finals. It means you shouldn't need to think too much about the gi colors. Just wear any kind of gi and go out for the classes.

The simple answer is no. The color of your Gi doesn't matter in any way. The only restriction on the colors of the BJJ Gi is that the IBJJF and many other BJJ competition federations only allow white, blue, Navy, and black. White, blue, or black color is suitable for competitions and training, but any other colored GI is only used for BJJ training.
