80% lower
So me personally, I wouldn't go with a proprietary platform, I'd get a regular ar15 patterned lower and then put an integrally suppressed upper to go with it if that's what you want. If it was me I'd go with something that would be sbr/pistol length, and build the 80% lower as a pistol lower. When you have a can you can cross state lines with it as long as it's legal in the other state. If you were to get an sbr you'd have to get permission ahead of time to take that rifle across state lines. A suppressed Ar15 pistol does not have that problem.
can't get 90% lowers any more? years ago I kicked around the idea of suppressed carbine, would love to have a suppressed SBR/pistol in a 50AE cartridge...is such a thing a thing?

I don't think 90% was ever a thing, always been 80% as far as I've known.
A 50 Beowolf would make a good pistol. Or a 458 Socom.

I highly recommend looking into a gearhead works tail hook if you go the pistol route.
how short can I get OAL with a can? I have a friend in OR who makes suppressors, he could probably make me an upper.

Those of us who earn less than $75k a year ($150k for married couples and $112k for heads of household) should be getting our $1200 socialist stimulus checks in the next few weeks.

I'll probably save half and then spend the other half on a Sig Sauer P226. I've never owned a gun but it feels like the right time.

What about you?
We've seen your hands bro, no way you're gripping that.

dunno maybe another AR
optimal length for an SBR with suppressor plans?
Well, I've given my argument against SBR's. But 300 blackout only need 8 inches of barrel to fully burn the powder. And subsonic 300 blackout suppresses really well. So I'd say a 300 blackout pistol with an 8-10 inch barrel.

link me so I can get learned.

I'm just looking for a range toy and an excuse to finally purchase a suppressor. I'm not set on anything but gun threads get my shopping bug going.
My AR is a 14.5 with a pinned and welded flash hider. Built in pieces when Obama was gonna take all our guns. I'd probably just a whole system this go around. Things are just better and better with more competitive prices these days.

that sig is only 600 where you live must be nice it cost like 900-1000 bucks in CA I need a gun that is a 44 magnum but im guessing it will be hard to find right now and I have to wait for the gun stores to be reopened again the governor closed them and is being sued federally now..
Buy it from an online source and have it shipped to your local gun store, pay them their ffl fee (probably $50), and you're good. You can also walk into your local, store, tell them your plans, and they will most likely just match the price or charge slightly higher.

Personal - What are you gonna buy with your stimulus money?

300 blackout all day. Plus you get a 30 cal suppressor that will probably work with 5.56 and 6.5 as well.

Let's discuss more tomorrow, and I can go into greater detail.

I'm going to work. And in a year when this has all blown over, and everyone is back to work. There I'll be, still working, paying off the government for all the COVID-19 handouts.

You can thank me later.

Normally, I'd say for certain another gun, but I'll wait and see how badly the panic buying has affected prices. If when the dust clears prices are pretty much back to pre-virus levels, I'll go with a revolver. Likely either a Model 686 or 629.

the grips on that sig 226 is pretty thick I shot one at battlefield vegas, great gun though has that premium feel to it.
It's a common gun used by law enforcement, so they are very easy to find used as well. Gunbroker has some people (or at least did in the past) who had stockpiles of used police guns, and plenty were Sig.

I just bought a new shotgun last week, and I’ll be unemployed next week, so I will probably use mine for groceries and bills sadly.
