Lol. My first "crib" was the bottom drawer of a dresser I still somehow have.
Probably get a cps call for even that now.
those window cribs are messed up, even Helen Keller can see how unsafe that thing is

Having that dresser still is nuts and cool af esp if it still does the job.

The one I posted was actually a BB gun, not a firearm. Neighbors were always calling my Ma asking if she knew I had snuck a rifle out of the house. 😆
We used to grab our shot guns, string them across our back and ride out to the dump to shoot rats. Can't imagine a kid doing that today.

It's pretty beat but still works.
It was my grandads when he was a boy, my mom's, then mine.
That thing has been places!
I always say I'm going to refinish it, but the truth is I like it the way it is.

This was in 78. My grandfather bought a new boat and took some of the grandkids for a ride around the block

Yep, ever see the simpsons where bart was helping an old woman around the house, cleaning gutters, mowing, etc and she gave him like 50 cents. That was literally me one summer. My stepmother cut hair and one of her clients was a rich widow that lived on the good part of town. I was voluntold that I was going to help her.

I spent a whole week mowing, weeding her flower bed, trimming her hedges, cleaned her pool. At the end of the week she gave me five dollars. I was so pissed.

When I was 11 or 12 and my cousin was a couple of years older we always carried guns on their farm in case we encountered feral dogs that attacked their calves. He usually had a shotgun while I carried an M1 carbine.
