Listen here you trashy Korean Martha Stewert, this thread encompasses It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th street, and that's IT!
I still have not watched any of those. I like gone with the wind and sound of music but I tend to favor the messed up vintage films. The family friendly ones are just too cheesy.

When Sydney Lumet was stationed in India during WW2 he witnessed a group of soldiers gang raping a girl on a train. He was too scared to stop it. It's probably why he would go on to make films focusing on moral and ethical dilemmas.

See my comment for Priziesthorse @Priziesthorse . The same applies to you faggit.

Hey, there's no need to attack my sexuality because my definition of a classic movie may differ to yours.

Pre 1960, according to whom?

It's almost 2018, that means that a movie from 1978 is almost 40 years old. You want to hang on to shit like Gone With The Wind which will put any red blooded male to sleep, when you can include Death Wish in there?

Who's the real Faggit? Frankly my dear I don't give a damn.

"Ooooh let's have a cup of tea and some scones and watch Gone With The Wind"

OR

Let's have a few beers and get ripped, and watch Charles Bronson in Death Wish.

But seeing as we are talking Kung Fu films I'd like to add,

Seven samurai

5 super fighters

Drunken master

And 36th chamber of Shaolin
Hate to be that guy but Seven Samurai is in no way shape or form a kung fu movie. It's a samurai movie.

I've been on a Robert Mitchum kick lately, he has some classics (Night of the Hunter and Cape Fear in particular) that really hold up well.
