But sillier. Cain never had to pull out of a fight due to chicken pox or a hernia magically appearing 24 hours before a fight. Both are sad but Bobby's is downright absurd.
WTF are they going to do about Refunds ? Will there be ? All those people , last minute emergency ? Not sure if UFC is liable.
Over but it needs to beat 85k to not be the lowest PPV of modern era UFC (Nunes/Pennington) I think Izzy vs Anderson brings it over 100k But what shitty start to UFC's PPV year
Meltzer has the O/U at 125k btw A few things ... this was the first PPV with ESPN promotion behind it, so should add a few more buys. But I wonder how the ESPN-era fans feel about a main falling through?
They would go absolutely insane if it does that i don't know how others felt, but I thought this would do 300k+ before the main event loss. There was a decent buzz & with no Jan PPV card I thought that helped Plus ESPN exposure. If it breaks 200k I would think UFC would be happy, 300k even more But i can see about 150k
I was most stoked about the main event. But all the casuals I know were talking about Silva fight. Crazy to think 300k is a homerun now.
Mayweather vs Berto did 400k in between Pac & Mac. PPV is a tough sell unless it is an event The fact that UFC is still profitable with PPV is amazing considering both MMA & PPV interest is down. With almost all of boxing leaving PPV, I wonder if that hurts or helps UFC going forward
Usually that is correct, but ... Conor vs anybody will do 1m buys though Ronda did 900k vs Bethe a month earlier than Mayweather/Berto
