I had old man Yoel 3 rounds to 2..

But I can see how point man running Israel could have stole some rounds.

This was his fight style before his finish streak.

I knew he would come in to do the same.

Just look who he chose.

A aging "explosive" but old Romero.

Who is known to take round off to land a powerful shot.

This time I think he did more than that prepositioned persona..

I think he did enough.
With what was more than likely his last chance.

But like I said.

Israel played his game.

Talk about finishing the monster.
But procced to run like hell after every TD attempt.

Or tuck and retreat after each hard strike landed.

I honestly believe that this is the perfect example of a fight that should not be scored.
If no fighter pursues action then NO Contest

Why are draws so uncommon in mma when they are so prevalent in major sports?

They need to work around this and break away from the 10 point scoring system.

Maybe have a threshold of within 5-10 strikes beingba draw. Effective takedown vs effective takedown defence.
I dont think it's that difficult to come up with a scoring system that effectively rewards the winner of the round.

Its not a bad fight to show yellow cards aren’t a terrible idea. Also a good fight to show that if you are going to do the 10 must score system, have 10-10 rounds.

The odd anxiety to score 10-10 or 10-8 for clearly one sided rounds is tiresome. If they got more open to doing so, would there be a sudden increase in draws? Probably, but fighters adapt. Knowing that it could end in a draw would most likely ignite that fire to win.

Its the same with fence grabbing and other blatant exploit of the rules. Clearly fighters are gonna take advantage when there is virtually no penalty at all. In the Magny Li fight, the ref warned the latter of fence grabbing. Li immediately grabs cage to avoid takedown. Nothing. Of course they are gonna do it.

The judging criteria and reffing criteria is all over the place. Start a night out not eve knowing “what kind of judging is it gonna be tonight.” Is equally as hilarious as it is frustrating

Even in my hungover state I clearly remember his angelical voice. My wife was grilling me this morning! Who the fuck were you talking to at 2:30am? Was he british?!!
