I should have posted this the other day, but basically Barcelona are skint as fuck, and in a billion or so debt. They have cut off 70% of wages with a guarantee it will be paid in future. It's been really funny for me because I hate Barcelona. But anyway a couple of days back some cunt leaked messi's contract to the press......

Needless to say it's for a lot of money.

He's a damn good player but he's never won fuck all with argentina. He needs his world class barca teammates to shine. I imagine it's pissed them off a bit to discover they get a 70% cut on thier 100k a week wages, and now know the guy who just tried to leave in the summer is on 100+ million a year

I just did the real math. 492 million pounds over 4 years is over 330 grand a day. That's more than 90 percent of the world's top players get for the week, or month even.

City or psg would be fucken Berks to fork out that kind of money for him.

It's astronomical. The second biggest contract in sports history was a ten year deal.

Third I think is canelos 300 odd mil deal with dazn. This is 4 years 492 million, plus bonus. Barcelona are fucken donkey brains. He was 29-30 when he signed this.

well that would be incorrect because argentina won second place in the 2014 world cup and almost won the world cup if messi team didn't let him down. he also took Argentina to three runner up spots in the copa America iirc where they ran into stacked brazil and Uruguay teams.

It's debatable. Two completely different styles. Messi is the better natural talent. Ronaldo trains harder than anyone I've ever seen.

I prefer Messi because he doesn't flop/dive, which is extremely rare for a South American or southern European player.
