I thought he was cut?

Did he negotiate a new deal?

“We offered him fights, he turned down the fights. There was a lot more back and forth that went on with that. If you don’t want to fight, this isn’t the place to be,” White said “There’s plenty of places out there that will take Yair Rodriguez, and would love to have him, and would sign him, and I’m sure he’ll have a great career. This isn’t the place for you.”

Bellator: "Call us in 15 years when you're ready to retire."
So they have 9 divisions in common. Right now, 2 are undecided (Bellator using the grand prix to decide their HW champ, and Whittaker vs Romero in the UFC to decide their MW champ). Of the 7 with clear champions, Bellator has younger champs in 4.

Cormier (39)
Bader (34)

Woodley (36)
Rory (28)

Khabib (29)
Primus (33)

Holloway (26)
Pitbull (30)

Dillashaw (32)
Caldwell (30)

Cyborg (32)
Budd (34)

Montano (29)
McFarlane (28)

In HW, UFC will have the younger champion if anyone but Bader wins-
Stripe Miocic (35)
Fedor (41)
Chael (41)
Mitrione (39)
Bader (34)

And at MW, if Whittaker wins, the UFC has the younger champion, if Romero wins, Bellator does.
Whittaker (27)
Romero (41)
Mousasi (32)

Edit: I forgot about RDA vs Covington for interim title at WW, but that doesn't change that one. RDA is 33, Covington acts like a 12 year old but is actually 30.

So did he get more money out of it? Otherwise what's the point? I want to know who lost on this whole thing

Did the UFC really send a termination letter? Or were both sides emotional?

If I was yair, i would have told them - show me the termination letter otherwise fuck you, im not fighting unless you pay me.

These guys need to stop getting emotional during a business move. Fucking amateurs.

Why does someone have to lose?
He signed a contract for X-amount of fight for X-amount of money
IF UFC offers him X-amounts of fights then they owe him nothing.
He also has every right to turn down a fight, but if he does then he won't get paid
Seems like things are where they were again.

but i totally agree about emotions in business
Between DW & most fighters, its a sideshow lol

Just stick out to pasture at Bellator like the rest of the UFC rejects.
I’ll be eating those words if Maia or GSP end up there though.

This is ridiculious. Plenty of guys that would (and have) cleaned house in the UFC. Some that came over (Bendo) after winning UFC belts and got their clocks cleaned in Bellator. This narrative that Bellator only has over the hill rejects on their roster is CNN worthy bullshit.

Alright, petal.
I know they have the likes or Rory and Bendo but I actually fell asleep watching Bendo in San Jose I was that entertained.
It's really not the higher echelons of the UFC, and it never will be.

Fighters at least have the excuse that getting emotional is almost a pre-requisite for being a fighter.

Look man I work pretty hard on pushing this narrative. For you to compare me to CNN is a bit unfair imo...
