I think you're 100% obliged to let them know what you think.
But say your piece once or twice and let them be, don't nag and accept the relationship if you have to but hopefully your kid works it out on their own.

Imo men who are the loser in a relationship are usually cheaters.

I don’t believe that’s an issue in this case. That would kill the golden goose. From your posting and I don’t know you but it seems that you inject yourself into other peoples business. Why don’t you have a man to keep you busy?

I prefer them shaved. Less hair to pick out of your tooth.

It is the issue in this case. He's one of those mentally short people who lies without a conscious. I know he's cheated and i know he's been fired for harassing other women while trying to hook up with them. Stop assuming this is some kind of injection. Theres no shortsge of losers like this in the world. Imo sounds like you are too sympathetic to this skimp. Did i mention he plays video games all day long whole she works ?

I was referring to my GF’s sisters husband as you quoted that post.

I do not and would not ever give a pass to a lazy loser. The loser is never the issue though. The problem is always the enabler.

I think it’s probably more about what she feels in her.

I like it. I will add to it to teach them to take an interest in learning how to become rich themselves just in case they are unable to secure a matronly patron

clever observation of seeing different from what others saw.

I was waiting for a good opportunity to pose the possibility if jealousy/envy factor plays a role in some of these cases. If one is living his best life then what others do will matter less but when one is unhappy himself it creates an environment for the growth of jealousy, envy and the manifestation of spinsterism.

sound exactly like my SIL's situation
she is a type A, and didnt seem to mind her husband being a "Stay at home dad" for over a decade (again, 1 daughter). it seemed to work out fine for them, but eventually she got fed up with it.

if your GF's sister is still with that guy, I predict something similar will happen

oh yeah, when my SIL got a divorce, she ended up giving the "Stay at home dad" the house and $60K a year in alimony for 5 years.....his divorce atty was able to jigger some BS about him not being gainfully employed for so long , hence him needing the alimony.

what a fucking loser...full grown, able bodied man never had a real job once he shacke dup with a doctor

They’ve been together a long time. She woukd tell my GF is she was unhappy. She seems perfectly fine with the situation. Even the home schooling is a bit of a stretch. The kids were signed up to a really expensive online school. I’m not sure he actually does anything with that. They live in the middle of nowhere so whenever they have to go somewhere it’s a trip. When they call from the car guess who is always driving? Yup she is. She is a hospital dept. chair and a surgeon. She seems fine with that role at home too. We just say as long as she’s happy they make it work. The other question is if the guy is really a loser or just smarter than the rest of us?

No offense as i don't know her but it sounds like she likes having him at home because he has fewer options and will never leave her. Really strong people in other aspects of their lives can feel really paranoid about being left and alone in their personal life. Is this guy better looking than her?

Funny thing. When she was a teen she was into beauty pageants, hair, makeup the whole girly deal. Now she doesn't wear makeup and her hair is turning gray. She doesn't use hair coloring. He lost his hair. I am going to say they are about equal in looks.

I hear it a lot from women will date down a bit so they don't have to worry about their man leaving or cheating. I kind of feel like this may apply to her in some way in my very unprofessional purely guessing opinion of course. I feel like her job maybe crazy and busy she doesn't want to come home to a philandering jet setting guy. He's at home and needs her to survive so she feels like she doesn't have to worry about him and home life isn't stressful. She can let herself go a bit physically and it's just easy when the man isn't able to make additional demands on her except room and board and food and some spending money.

Dealing with the opposite sex can be truly annoying and a waste of time and maybe she feels she doesn't have time for that and so a loser is just easier to deal with.

I’ve have never actually met him. I know the sister well and their kids but not him. He never comes down here. The sister comes down to visit with and without the kids. I know he was a professional student and has a couple of masters. Before they were married he worked in a book store. They met in college. This summer we are all going on a river cruise in Europe so I will meet thim then.

Love is truly a steep mountain to climb. .. I read from all of these haters, a lot of "what ifs", and a lack of sympathy. If she is happy with him, maybe she sees in him something you guys dont. Love is in the eyes of the beholder. Do you even knows what that means? It means that it takes two to make a successful partnership. Never mind what the family and friends say. If he can win her heart, that is all that matters, I'm afraid!
