I first started in the late 80's and haven't stopped since.

I'd have to say now though, due to the ability to go online and read pretty much any back issues i want.

Obviously some great stories have been told in the past but comics are more popular than ever. As much as I've loved past superhero books, the conversations has about them were few and far between. Now the industry has expanded and comics are more available and there's communities of people to chat about with.

Plus the independent scene is amazing right now.

I started in the mid-80s, so we're talking Claremont era UXM. No can defense.

I didn't have much to spend, but comics were only like 40 cents back then.
