Not a thread to judge others, unless it's @Song2 . Then his ideas are, of course, terrible.

There are no right or wrong answers, just personal opinion.

So you can wave a magic wand or whatever, and tomorrow your major societal policy change is instantly granted -- medicare for fall? universal basic income? no forward deployment of military? half military spending? double military spending? free college? requirement for no debt? open borders? closed borders? legal weed?

You get one. What is it?

i would extend public financing through 16th grade. i understand there are costs, but if i'm not mistaken, public education was not always free through 12th grade. but they realized the times called for a change. and imo, now is the time for all children to have the opportunity to get those extra 4 years of education AND room-board, because the personal growth away from home is arguably the biggest gain from college

EDIT: that one isnt actually the one i would implement. its the most likely tho imo. if i could wave a wand, a basic standard of living income without a doubt. machines have allowed us to create the means of producing things related to water, food, and shelter. and although i used to be a flat-tax guy, i flipped a 180 a couple years ago, and believe that humans as a whole can and should make a big shift.

people shouldn't work to put food on their table. they should work to take trips to the carribean. and if they don't want to take those trips, they should be able to go for walks in the woods every day. to live life with a smile. bc our ancestors were wizards, and created technology that makes this possible for all

I'd completely ban all private gun ownership and confiscate all weapons in the hands of private citizens.

We need to do something drastic to stop these mass shootings.

Ban ALL "reality" TV..... I'd also ban social media for everyone under the age of 25, force them at gunpoint to read actual literature, and listen to only music from 1955-1995 (with approved selections from 96-2017)

Im not disagreeing we have a problem with mass shooting but I think this is more of the problem.


For me, I'd get rid of the black market by stopping the war on drugs. Failed policy continuing for 40 something years and trillions dollars lost without any progress is act of retards.
