Personally, I agree with them. Just because you may have store in a neighbourhood that might be prone to gun violence and robberies doesn't mean you should try to protect yourself.
In some of these high crime neighbourhoods, there is a black majority populace. So when you take extra measures to protect yourself in these areas - like putting up protection glass - you are stereotyping black people as thugs who will rob you and/or do you bodily harm.I'm in an OR right now.
Can you give me a brief explanation of how they got to this bullshit opinion? Haha
I was hoping there was something more creative to it.In some of these high crime neighbourhoods, there is a black majority populace. So when you take extra measures to protect yourself in these areas - like putting up protection glass - you are stereotyping black people as thugs who will rob you and/or do you bodily harm.
Imagine if the Asians from M2S had protective glass.those racist asian store owners shot just get shot so it is fair for everyone
So gone are the days when you could be shooting some hoops and have some thug pick you up over his head and spin you around? This city is rapidly gentrifying thanks to the universities pouring money into remaking West and North Philly.
Depends on the block. So gone are the days when you could be shooting some hoops and have some thug pick you up over his head and spin you around?
Now that's a political answerI was hoping there was something more creative to it.
If I were pitching it I would say that by creating an environment where it appears that you have to go to extreme measures to protect yourself it drives away the type of person that they want to move into, and enrich, the community and therefore make it safer and drive out the negativity.
DependsSo gone are the days when you could be shooting some hoops and have some thug pick you up over his head and spin you around?
Just pay me. I've go You.Now that's a political answer
Good job
The way they are handling this is beyond stupid
Personally I say keep the glass, fuck em
Just one little fight!Depends
Was he making trouble in your your neighbourhood?
I used to go to this one beer/liquor place in Baltimore that had bulletproof glass all over the place.....it was by my friends house (rich trust fund baby who ironically lived in a great neighborhood but if you wanted beers quickly you had to walk 3 blocks down instead of driving to access a normal place)Personally, I agree with them. Just because you may have store in a neighbourhood that might be prone to gun violence and robberies doesn't mean you should try to protect yourself.
"its impersonal and gives the look of a drug operation...devalues customers"I'm in an OR right now.
Can you give me a brief explanation of how they got to this bullshit opinion? Haha
