Absolute majority of them make shit money. The ones at the very top make ~20-30k a fight and a select few might make more. Chinese market is exploding and paying good money to the ones that are lucky to appeal to chinese crowds.
Some top names have recently crossed over to boxing, some are trying mma and some simply held
out because pay is so low. That's why they fight 10-15 times an year.
