$50 from TMMAC pledged to Gary Sinise Foundation
$35 from TMMAC pledged to Ronald McDonald House Canada

$100 from TMMAC pledged to St Jude's Children's Hospital

That takes up all of our matching funds.

Donations will be consolidated and given at one time.

Although we do not still have additional funding to match you, I encourage you to use this thread to make public donations to your favorite charity in the hopes that others will learn about them and support them this coming year.

Happy New Year everybody!

We've had some good years where we've donated to families. Throughout the year people have helped different causes and voting for awareness and cuteness (hey tmmac official neice!)

We don't have a cause for this Holiday season. It's the end of the year and I think we should keep up the tradition.

Post some ideas of charities you like. We can agree on one and TMMAC match you all up to $500 on it.

So TMMAC total can make at least a thousand dollar impact somewhere.

Charity Navigator - Your Guide To Intelligent Giving | Home is useful to find causes and examine efficiency of find usage.

Let's go big meanies.

Here are top rated options in three categories:

Make a pledge in this thread (on your honor) to your preferred organization and TMMAC will match to $500

Soldiers and First Responders and their families:
Gary Sinise Foundation 88% of every dollar

Donate to another one as highly rated as these or higher and that will be matched :)

Yeah, wouldn't want to do loan sharking in developing countries.
I am partial to MSF but I don't like their recent track record.

Man my wife has a client that has mental disabilities and her family is pure shit. The mom and dad treat her like trash and they don't have a pot to piss in. I mean nothing. My wife and I are going to give them some mattresses and bedding that we have in storage, and buy them some groceries for the holidays. We're doing it for her client, not the parents. They're more than capable of working to support their family...they just choose not to. It's gross. I would recommend them for this, but I know the money would not be put to good use.

We could also start a Kiva team maybe?

Loans that change lives | Kiva

Microfinance loans, we see who we help, and it prevents loan sharking in developing countries.

Following up on this:
Kiva - Join splinty on Kiva

I made a TMMAC team regardless of what we decide to do. But that could be a fun thing we keep going all year as the loans are paid back and we reloan to help others.

These people just want real toilets:

A loan to Marites

Hell, this guy is going to buy all the stuff and build it himself:

A loan to Dindo

Down with this I used to do a few kiva loans and it’s good that it helps everyday ppl trying to progress

Happy to do the same with my tmmac siblings
