Unlike Eddie Alvarez, Khabib wouldn't abandon his wrestling. He would walk across the octagon, pressure the fuck out of Mcgregor within the first 10 seconds, slip a shot, take him down, and turn his face into Russian sausage by the end of the first round.

Conor watched this fight tonight, and doesn't want any of that shit. If there was 1% chance in his mind about returning to MMA, tonight ended it. He'll fight Manny or some other dude in boxing, and ride off into the sunset.

Thoughts?

Michael johnsons straight left landed alot in the first round against khabib and stunned him. If conor lands his straight left once its over

Khabib vs. Michael Johnson.

That fight shows that Khabib can be touched up. Conor is masterful at striking on the backfoot, and can do wonders off the frontfoot also. Khabib can be sloppy when chasing his opponents, and this may be his downfall. Khabib would really want to be careful with his timing when it comes to takedowns. But being too patient will give Conor time to land those killer blows. It's a catch 22.

Let's be realistic though. Conor's cryptonite would be a high-level wrestler with great cardio. If Khabib can avoid Conor's shots on the feet and get it to the ground, it's going to be very hard to survive 5 rounds.

I don't know which is more exagerrated, Conor's power or the effect that one punch Johnson landed on Khabib before he was mauled to death.

Khabib won't even make it to the cage. He will eat himself out of making weight. Pressure will get to him.

His weak point is getting into grappling range. He isn't defensively responsible. Reckless even. I think that would be Conors way to clip him. Hope T Ferg fights Khabib though to be honest. That would be cray cray.

He does come forward pretty recklessly but short notice Chad Mendes got a takedown on Mcgregor. I'm confident Khabib can as well, and it will only take one from Khabib to end the fight.

Khabib hasn't finished a fight in the first since 2013 against Tavares. If you're banking on one TD sealing the deal I think that's a long shot. If he can't get ahold of McG early hes gonna get boxed up the way he just marches forward. Khabib is still one dimensional and gets hit with his "I don't give a fuck I'm moving forward sloppy or not" type of way to close the distance. I'm not saying Conor's got it in the bag but if I had to bet it would be on Mr McGregor as of now.

If Khabib gets his hands on Conor the fight is over, Conor isn't getting up from a Khabib takedown for a couple hours. Khabib's striking has significantly improved since the MJ fight, he has a good chin and is quick.....I honestly see it being a relatively easy fight for Nurmagomedov

You think he's too hit-able? Because of the way he comes in to range and Conor's counter ability?
That's pretty much it. No one's been a harsher critic of Conor's grappling than me, but it's far from non existent. Khabib's gnp was incredible to watch last night, but people are getting a little carried away with what a man raping of a gatekeeper means.

Conor will never in a million years fight Khabib. Ferguson is much safer, but Nate promises the biggest payday. Khabib is all risk and no reward.
