Is the equivalent of the H Bomb at feather weight..Pico will be world champ at 145 within a year.. he will knock caldwell stiff and if need be is one of the only guys that can out wrestle Darrion...My prediction is he wins 3 more as he gradually faces better fighters then fights caldwell in summer if 2019... losses can either make or break a fighter and Pico is showing how champions make adjustments not excuses!

When you see a guy who throws a left to the body like that in his 3rd MMA fight, that's something special.

Those two body shots were fucking beautiful
I could easily see him as champ in 2019

Caldwell is the champ at 135. If Pico is gonna be champion, he's gonna have to dethrone Pitbull. Not saying that's impossible, just a very tall mountain to climb so early in his career.

I really hate that they gave him such a tough fight in his debut, wtf where they thinking. They did not need to give him a complete can but they gave him a guy with like almost 20 fights and good record in his debut. the Kid should be undefeated working his way up, I hate seeing that record as 2 and 1 and not 3 and 0. It tells you how stupid their debut matchmaking was when his next 2 fights are way easier opponents than his debut fight. It also does not hurt that he looks like a young mini Hendo.

There have been a few great fighters that lost in their first bout or 2. I think the loss was the best thing for his career. I made him realize mma is no cakewalk and on any day you can be beaten. I think this will play out better then someone like Ngannou who thought they were unstoppable and appears to have neglected some aspects of the sport. The aggressiveness and ferocity Pico showed in his last 2 bouts is on another level.

Good potential for sure.....that opening loss really snapped him straight.

Too bad after a few years at Bellator, he will end up fight the same 4 dudes over and over again.

Not a chance. Way too many great fights waiting for him already just at featherweight, and that's only going to continue.

Have you looked at Bellators FW division, when a guy like Gheorgi Kharkanyan is losing more than he wins at 145 in Bellator that is an indicator of the talent. Bellator may not have the depth of the ufc at 145 but they do have a lot more depth than you think

Possibly...but in a few years that might change. I hope not...they seem to be doing better there than they are in the heavier classes.

He wanted it and campaigned for it. Guess he wanted to find out exactly where he stood and needed to work on, and he certainly found out the hard way. But he took it a learning lesson and has looked great since. Like TheEmperorRises @TheEmperorRises said, Pitbull is a tough mountain to climb but I have no doubt Pico will be champ in Bellator at some point.

In a few years, guys like: Aaron Pico, A.J McKee, James Gallagher, Justin Lawrence, Noad Lahat, Henry Corrales, Sam Sicilia, Adam Borics, Brandon Laroco, Tywan 'Speedy' Claxton, Gaston Bolanos, Cody Bollinger, Chris 'Sunshine' Williams, Aridane Romero, Saul Roger.... they'll take over the division entirely. But before they can do that, they have to unseat the guys who own it now. Guys like Patricio Pitbull, Daniel Weichel, Emmanuel Sanchez, Daniel Straus, Pat Curran, Chinzo Machida, Joe Teixeira, and Marcos Galvao. And that makes for a lot of great fights.

I see half of them not being there in 3 years....

Good call there. Lot of people were calling him a bust after losing his first pro fight, but he's looked great since then. I read that in this fight, he pretty much called his shot -- he wanted to KO the guy with a liver shot and did it.

I'm excited about the new blood. Gotta say I'm kind of bored with the vets in the division -- seems they've been there forever and they just keep fighting each other over and over ...
