Just do it, especially if you can, have the room and cash. Music is an awesome hobby. It's like with books, when I find a good one, I buy the hardcover. When you say warmth do you mean it's more bassy? Or it gives the tracks more depth?
Should just try to self taught yourself an instrument. Way cheaper, less space, higher sense of accomplisment, learn skill that you will have forever.Just do it, especially if you can, have the room and cash. Music is an awesome hobby. But I have. I play guitar, well, have been playing, been a while.Should just try to self taught yourself an instrument. Way cheaper, less space, higher sense of accomplisment, learn skill that you will have forever.
I would recommend tubby start here before investing thousands in records. But I have. I play guitar, well, have been playing, been a while.
Yeah I really want to learn guitar. I'm going to get one this year, maybe in March or something. Probably.I would recommend tubby start here before investing thousands in records.
I'd wait and see how much you like listening to yourself playing an instrument first. It would be a shame to spend money on records only to discover you don't care about it all that much.Yeah I really want to learn guitar. I'm going to get one this year, maybe in March or something. Probably.
Maybe.

Frooken messy fo shoTechnology has come a long way in recent years. I got a phone which I can download music onto.
I can then play music on the phone or connect it via bluetooth or cable to various speakers, like in my car or home or wherever.
It's pretty practical, portable, doesn't take up much room, holds a lot more music, and is a lot cheaper.
You should look into it.
Let's not get carried away here. People listened to records for a long time. You don't have to go crazy. Instruments can be as expensive, if not more.I would recommend tubby start here before investing thousands in records.
Yeah I have a mp3 player that supports flac and other hi fidelity files with about 7600 songs on it, but as far as having a physical music collection I don't have much. Just my mp3, headphones, band shirts, and a collage of old CD pamphlets. That's why I kinda want vinyls, for the big artwork, but they're far too impractical and fragile for meTechnology has come a long way in recent years. I got a phone which I can download music onto.

I imagined because he said collect he will wind up one of those people with ikea Kallax everywhere floor to wall full of records. If he's poor then milk creates and his living room will look like a flea market stall.Let's not get carried away here. People listened to records for a long time. You don't have to go crazy. People spend 500 to a 800 on phones each year, I am sure listening to music that way, ain't all that cheap. On those things you hear music, with a good table and speaker, you listen to it.Yeah I have a mp3 player that supports flac and other hi fidelity files with about 7600 songs on it, but as far as having a physical music collection I don't have much. I wonder why you'd draw that conclusion?I imagined because he said collect he will wind up one of those people with ikea Kallax everywhere floor to wall full of records.
Are you throwing them then? I grew up with records, as a kid did just fine with them. unless of course you throw them around. It's just that we're not used to it anymore. We have become detached to physical experiences. It's al digitial and abstract.but they're far too impractical and fragile for me
I don't use my phone for music, I have a separate player that, like I said, plays uncompressed media files. However I can't say I've ever actually listened to a vinyl so the comparison isn't there for mePeople spend 500 to a 800 on phones each year, I am sure listening to music that way, ain't all that cheap. Same here. My phone is for other stuff. I do have an ipad for my music and podcasts. So I'm not an elitist about it. If I have the chance I will certainlky get some records like I used to. It was fun, just sitting down and making music an experience again. It's not as expensive as people make it out to be. Unless you go full hipstard. No need to do that to listen to quality music.I don't use my phone for music, I have a separate player that, like I said, plays uncompressed media files. I only broke records that I meant to break, like Rush records.I wouldn't throw them, I'm just a klutz and I can see me dropping some of them
I barely have time to sit down and just listen to an album. If I can't take my music with me I can't listen to anySame here. My phone is for other stuff. I do have an ipad for my music and podcasts. I don't rent music either. I'm mostly a thieving bastard, but I buy what I can at concerts and cs stores when I canI refuse to pay to rent music on formats such as Google Play and Spotify. I understand the convenience of it but I just can't do it. I'd rather pirate most stuff and support smaller/independent artists directly when I can
Cds are easy to damage and tiny.
Cassette tapes are making a come back in a few genres but why? Sound quality sucks.
Vinyl is literally the only format that I think is worth it's price.
