I did see it, as the kids were on the raft. I loved the way it was all made (I did not see the entire thing though. I will catch up with it on Sunday when I get back in front of my own proper sizes tv . once you get 65 inches you can never go backDid yu see the raft scene thing just now after the walkouts. That was a cool bit. Almost got teary eyed when the abnucner mentioned the theme of hope and unity.... if only))

I watched it with my two girls and my dad as other family members chatted on other topics. As the good memories of childhood. I used to warch this with my dad, and now my kids said it is so cool watching this with grandpa (I cried happy tears on the inside). My dad was the one who taught me how to ski and iceskate. He is the best.
My kids and I were geeking out when we saw the drones making the figure and rhe rings. We jumped out of our chairs and started squeeling like little kids when those drones flew up.
Also all 4 Canadian men qualified for slopestyle finals, only one of the Americans made the cut but qualified third

I just read an article about Shani Davis (USA speed skater). He was a finalist in a vote to carry the flag for the opening ceremonies and it came down to a 4-4 tie. They settled it with a coin flip - which is protocol. He lost, then called it "dishonorable" and invoked "#BlackHistoryMonth" for some reason. (He's the first black American to medal at the winter games). He then decided to skip the opening ceremonies completely.
Further reading reveals that he got into an altercation on a plane because someone told him he was sitting in the wrong seat (which he was). Also, in the 2006 Olympics - despite being one of the better skaters - he chose to not participate in the team pursuit. When a teammate brought up the team pursuit (saying nothing of Davis) during a joint presser, Davis got pissed and stormed out of the room.

the skip jump is weird now. its not longer a snow hill. instead its like two grooves that they fly down (i guess to make it more fair since temperature materially impacts snow speed). but its pretty odd imo bc it takes away the "natural" element... :-/
