Sure and The ufc should never sign Romero to a middleweight fight again. This is becoming an epidemic and the UFC has a responsibility to protect the fighters from themselves. How many hockey players would go without a helmet if givin the option today? Leagues across all sports pass rules to protect athletes and it’s MMA’s time to do the same.

Read the news while finishing up UFC 6. This is what hooked me to the sport not waiting last minute to see who could deplete themselves enough to get to fight

It's so stupid, & a matter of time.
Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to see any type of change until it's high profile & disastrous.
I do have some degree of hope that change will occur before that, as I've seen some positive changes lately.

If they lose the main event, the card will probably be cancelled. I don't know if the UFC can throw the main card on to FS1 on a day's notice. There's a Motocross event on at 10.

I don’t think they’ll cancel it this late. In Vegas maybe but in Australia it would be a tremendous slap in the face to the fans there. I think they’d go ahead with the ppv and accept a 35k ppv buy.

I’m not sure that’s possible since so many bars and restaurants are committed to buy. But we likely would find out what the lowest number possible in the modern era is.

There aren't many options for an event like this. They likely won't be able to make it a fight night card if Rockhold/Romero is off. It would be more likely they would move it to FP than to cable, but I just don't know.

now it looks like something is wrong and he will be diminished if fights even takes place at all.

Looks like the fight is a go.

Now we all need to root for Romero to win just for the chaos of him calling out Whitaker after not making weight.

If you rewatch it, you can clearly tell Romero knew he was over when he was stepping on the scale. He stepped on super lightly like a ballerina, as if that makes a difference...lol
