I know i sound like a broken record, but Andy Foster’s 10 Point plan endorsed by the ABC Medical sub-Committee and passed by the ABC is the answer here, but unfortunately state AC’s and large organizations continue to wait for another high profile death.
Ive said it before, I'll say it again, extreme weight cutting (especially at lower weights when you break it down to percentages) have always been, are, and will continue to be completely fucking stupid. You want to try to make 170 when you walk around at 210, well, I have zero sympathy for you.

Frankie and Rumble are perfect examples of fighters who have benefited from fighting closer to their natural weight instead of toeing the line of kidney failure.

Yoel should be working his way up the rankings. He lost to Jacare despite the 3 blind mice of judges, and didn't answer the bell vs. TK.

So now we have a card that was already kind of weak with a main event that isn't really a title fight? Awesome.

They need to start having active fighters at the professional level weigh in every 3 months or something. These guys need to be fighting closer to their "walk around" weight. Massive weight cuts are bad for the fighters and bad for the sport.

There's no reason UFC can't take their list of active fighters and use LabCorp or Quest or some company like that and have these guys go in to have their weight documented. CDL drivers across the country are subjected to random drug tests, there's no reason we can't have active fighters subjected to weight verification.
Belts suck

do away with them

He looked lean but I wouldn't say he looked horrible. He still ran up the stairs and was pretty active before being weighed.

He's a guy who has a frame for 205 but I don't think he looks bad at 185. Definitely one of the biggest guys (if not the biggest guy) in the division though.

I read elsewhere that the reason he never took off his sunglasses was because he had red eyes from bursting blood vessels in his eyes during the cut

did you see his interview with megan olive?

I know it is normal for a cut like that but he was fookin hurting

Just makes me sad to see two so talented and skilled extreme athletes both competing at a fraction of their potential from being drained/dehydrated and starved.

It was more a behavior thing than the eye test that I noticed

how does that happen?

looked pissed, weak, and thirsty....voice was weak and barely could get his thoughts out

that unhealthy 30 hours from a fight is a sad state IMO

I saw that and thought the same. He obviously made weight, so good for him - he got it done. These cuts though...it’s an issue. I’m excited to see him at 205.

But he didn’t look good. Breathing heavy and could hear how dry his mouth was, and it seemed like he was having a bit of trouble stringing words together.

The guy is typically awkward and uncharismatic. He seems to be fighting an internal battle to try to be more entertaining on the mic whilst knowing he's just not that good at it. Hell of a fighter though.

So I didn't notice honestly.

Yes I recognize that for sure....

I also listened to two interviews of him on podcasts this week and so I had a baseline for his speech patterns

Just saying he may be as diminished or more than Yoel

IMHO
