You better be careful. He could jump from Korea and head kick your face in Alabama.
Then do a push-up with his pinky.
You see I'm not messing with him, right? I know when To poke 'em and when to sit down.

the Alone threads are ancient, and nobody seems to understand jack about what's involved. Millions of guys have been held in solitary confinement for a lot longer than 3 months, Being in the woods, with lots of gear, is a picnic by comparison. So the "mental challenge" claim for the show is bs. You CLEAR 1/4 million $ for the win, and if you do it right, you'll clear another 1/4 mill over the next 2-3 years, from endorsements, teaching classes, selling books and vids. This win can literally retire you, if you go at it properly.
So when are you going on the show?

they get many thousands of applications each season. Mine is in. This coming season is solely for past losers to try again, which is a crock. They've had their shot at it.

This not knowing what to do causes them to take the wrong gear,
Agreed, deca for all.

They also dont have a clue about how many calories are present in a fish or animal.
An entire human Cadaver is worth about 81,000 calories.
None of them have seized upon a carb source that's right in front of them.
Agreed. The most dangerous game is the sweetest meal.

Long Pig is the answer!

I"m 65, 40 lbs over my fighting weight and can still do this from 6 ft away. Give me 2 months to train and diet, and it would be 8 ft away. The record standing broadjumps are 12 ft, dude, and you can stick your leg out a yard, plus your body is extended horizonally. Your ignorance is showing

History's "Alone" Survival Gear Lists - Season 1 (Known Rules Included)

it's been changed a bit. After I pointed out that the bear canister could be steel and 2 gallons, they took it off of the list. For season 4, 2 person teams, they radically cut the rations from 10 lbs per person to 2 lbs per person. Season one it was just 5 lbs, but season 2 and 3, they doubled it. Season 4, they reduced the gillnet size from 25x6 ft, 2" mesh, to just 15x5 and a nearly worthless 1.5" mesh. So what 10 items would you pick and why? Btw, you have to film everything that you do. Once a week, you get a medical exam, your video is taken and you're given charged batteries. If your BMI falls below 17, you're forced off of the show. That's happened to a couple of people already. If you dont film everything, you're forced off of the show. That's a horrible handicap and waste of time and calories, but it's part of the deal.

The axe, belt knife, ferrorod, big saw, 2 qt pot, fishhooks and line, are all wasted or inferior picks. Down sleeping bags have proven to be a disaster on the island, guys. One guy claims to have fed himself adequately on crabs that would routinely get caught in natural traps in the kelp beds. Since only 1/4 of a crab's live weight is edible flesh and the flesh is only 400 calories per lb, ready to eat, he'd have had to have caught 40 lbs, of crabs every day, on average.. So he's obviously a liar about that part.. he did manage to win, tho, by weaving a net and catching a few fish.

Sounds like you need to get a YouTube video up and get a social media campaign behind you.

They can't deny a media savvy senior citizen doing jumping side kicks the likes of which would make Mix6APlix @Mix6APlix drool.

everyone has taken a ferro rod, cause it's so wet, but Dave M managed a bowdrill fire, after he stupidly let his ferrorod fall into his fire. . And with the fishhooks, duct tape, and the batteries that they give you, you can start your first fire. Or you can fire-roll a chunk of your t-shirt. Once you have ashes, charred wood, pine resin, dried tinder/kindling, kept dry in the bags you've made out of your gaiters and the duct tape (which nobody's had the sense to take) you can then easily start more fires with any carbon steel tool and any hard, sharp rock. A few of them have known how to keep a fire's coals bedded in ashes/dirt as they sleep, but one pair last season was so dumb as to make a wooden chimney for a fireplace. :)
