Please tell me how walking my vicious 17# terrier in the snow while leashed makes me a target for some fuckhead pig with a badge has the right to question me about fucking anything.

I'll wait.

Of course. Taking in a hurricane rescue dog that has clearly been abused that is completely submissive by nothing more than a look, who prefers walking on sidewalk than grass, and always looks at any car that goes by as an angel from living in a garage for years.... yet im the asshole?

Because people don't have my temperature tolerance, and would rather lock their dogs in the basement instead of taking them out...?

You are missing what I am saying brother I think.

You have told this story twice. Did it happen twice or are you just repeating yourself?

Genuine question

If it happened twice he would’ve said in it the OP.

It didn’t even happen once.

No. It happened twice.

My issue is simply this: What the fuck does it matter how I am walking my dog? Are there laws dictating that I have to have boots on, or a ski suit while walking my dog???? No. So cops can fuck right off.

Deaths are a lot of paperwork for cops. They’re trying to prevent you from freezing.

Looks like you want a real answer

You walking bearfoot in the snow gives the officer probable cause to question you to make sure you are not publically intoxicated on alcohol or drugs

Edit: I'm not saying I think they should be able to, just that that is how the laws are written

No, there are no laws stating that you must wear shoes to walk in the snow, it does however give the officer the right to question you unfortunately

You are confusing probable cause with reasonable suspicion.

In United States criminal law, probable cause is the standard by which police authorities have reason to obtain a warrant for the arrest of a suspected criminal. The standard also applies to personal or property searches.

Reasonable suspicion is a legal standard of proof in United States law that is less than probable cause, the legal standard for arrests and warrants, but more than an "inchoate and unparticularized suspicion or 'hunch'";[1] it must be based on "specific and articulable facts", "taken together with rational inferences from those facts",[2] and the suspicion must be associated with the specific individual.[3] If police additionally have reasonable suspicion that a person so detained is armed and dangerous, they may "frisk" the person for weapons, but not for contraband like drugs. Reasonable suspicion is evaluated using the "reasonable person" or "reasonable officer" standard,[4] in which said person in the same circumstances could reasonably suspect a person has been, is, or is about to be engaged in criminal activity; it depends upon the totality of circumstances, and can result from a combination of particular facts, even if each is individually innocuous.

Please enlighten me. Walking your dog around the block is clearly as criminal act.
