Authorities say they're responding to a shooting at a Florida high school and the school has been locked down.

The Broward Sheriff's Office has told news outlets the shooting happened Wednesday afternoon at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. According to its official Twitter account, the shooter is still at large.

It wasn't immediately clear how many people were wounded.

Coral Springs Police said on their Twitter account Wednesday that the school is locked down and that students and teachers inside should remain barricaded until police reach them.

TV footage showed at least one person being wheeled to an ambulance on a gurney while emergency workers appeared to be helping others on the sidewalk. The news broadcasts also showed students running across the street.


This shit isnt to far from my house. I left work early and grabbed my boy from school just in case this psycho was going to another school. Hope they torture that motherfucker

It's at least a 30-min drive from your house.

This high school is on the western edge of the county right next to the Everglades, surrounded by huge houses owned by people who ride horses.

You live in cracktown near (but not on) the beach.

I work out there all the time on holmberg road. Plus i trained over there for a few years

Ten years ago, Coral Springs was a nice place to live. I knew so many Jews that lived there. They all moved to Weston.

They are reporting one dead on the news but i just got off the phone with a senior firefighter and hes telling me there are currently 5 dead. Pretty shitty to die like that

Looks like he was passing out in the back of the police car. They just removed him and transferred him to a gurney. Very unstable on his feet.

I trained at strike gym and ATT which are both close. ATT is on johnson street which turns into holberg atvthe next light going west. I also do remodelling and other shit in parkland.

Plus all those rich pussies are too scared to ride into my hood for the dope they want so i bring it to them for a fee. Thats how i met your mother

Strike Gym closed down and ATT moved from its old Johnson Rd location to its new SR7 location just north of the Sawgrass Expressway like 2 years ago.

You sensationalized the story by saying you live close to this school when it would probably take you 45 minutes to get there right now bc of traffic.

Just quit while you're behind and admit you were full of shit.

You time frame only works during rush hour any other time by taking the turnpike to sawgrass expressway it takes like 10 minutes.

Funny i never see you at any of these gyms. Maybe one day ill get your limp wrist to sign the waiver

In all seriousness I was just reading 14 victims and multiple deaths though authorities won't say how many fatalities.

Very sad.

How many students did they have at that school? They are increasing the size of these schools, closing down the smaller ones. Something goes wrong and you got a lot of kids at stake all at once.
