Damn they treated will ill

Seriously i met mr brooks multiple times and he seems like a real humble dude. He had a rough run in the ufc and i think he will dominate outside the ufc and return even better similar to david branch or rumble johnson

Nice to see him handling it like a mature man unlike he used to do with Bellator.

He's a great fighter though and I have no idea why he did so bad in the ufc. I agree that he'll wreck shop outside and come back stronger.

Fucking WME. Look at the LW roster, there are like almost a 100 guys on their roster at LW, the most stacked weightclass in all of MMA, and this guy better than 75% of the LW's on the roster, has a few losses and gets cut. WTF.

Fighters really take note. WME is evil and will fuck with your career in the shaistiest way. This guy put his career on the line, put his health on the line and fought a Cowboy Oliveria that was like some ridiculous 12 lbs over. That was part of his losing streak. Clearly WME gives no fucks. He burns bridges? Um so what, WME is the one making bridges made up of cardboard. You can put your ass on the line for them but trust and believe it means zero to them.

WME has taken the heart out of MMA. I hate them

USADA would be my guess

Nah, nothing to do wtih that. He won his first ufc fight against a tough guy, Ross Pearson. Look at his 3 losses. The Cowboy fight should not even count, not when you fight a monster than comes in 12 lbs over. Then against Charles Aloe Vera, he fought a guy who is one of the best submissions finishers in the history of the UFC, and got caught. The only really bad loss was against Lentz and that was due to making a mental mistake of sticking his head over and over again into guillotine position. He was ahead in the fight and would beat Lentz I feel in a rematch.

He should not have been cut, you just can't treat high level fighters like this. Not saying he should be allowed to have a 6 fight losing streak, but he deserves at least another fight. Especially when you look at how many lw's on the ufc roster he is better than yo.

He also made weight that extra time he ended up not fighting, and imo he looked sick when he did it - I kind of remember his face looking gray.

I don't know what pay he was getting, but it probably had more to do with that - since he lost so many times, maybe they considered him to be making more than he was worth to them. They'd rather fill the spot with a new person making only 10 or 12k to show.

That's exactly what is going on and it's sickenning. It's all about cost cutting and stupid title fights now. It's a sad day when you cut a very good fighter because he makes too much to sign 2 non ufc level fighters because you can pay the barely anything.

Man, he was hyped coming in.

I don't mean to sound cliche, but it goes to show you what happenz to some people when they get out of the kiddie pool.

Are you saying black people can't swim? That's racist.

Wow, you see right through me

Actually I said it's when he "got out of" the kiddie pool that he got in trouble.

So if anything I'm saying he can swim but he had no legs to stand on solid ground yeah?

some dick in an office looked at 1-3 and moved his contract into the "do not renew" pile. I bet that dick never watched him fight
