One piece of the Jon Jones doping puzzle will be put in place later this month.

Jones, one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, will go before the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) for a hearing Feb. 27 in Anaheim, per the agenda posted to the CSAC website Wednesday. There, Jones will receive his commission sanctions — likely a suspension and fine — for testing positive for the steroid Turinabol in an in-competition drug test with relation to his UFC 214 fight with Daniel Cormier last July.

Jones, 30, will still have to go to arbitration in his case with USADA, the UFC’s anti-doping partner, after the CSAC hearing. There’s no guarantee the sanctions in both cases will be the same. Jones’ agent Malki Kawa said on The Luke Thomas Show on Monday that the team expects a conclusion to this process by the end of March at the very latest.

Under USADA, Jones is facing a four-year suspension as a second-time offender. In 2016, Jones tested positive for two banned substances — clomiphene and Letrozol — in an out-of-competition drug test in relation to UFC 200. He was suspended one year for that transgression, with arbitrators finding that Jones did not knowingly cheat, but was recklessly negligent in taking what he described as a “dick pill” that led to the positive test.

214 days between the bout and the hearing. Imagine how pissed you would be with that timeline if you were actually innocent.

So a lot of people... Dana included are talking about Jones returning this year & that he's shown sufficient evidence that it was unintentional.

Man I really doubt it at this point, but WTF.... it's not my concern. They'll figure it out & we'll either get him back or we won't.

second video with Shwab is like a bad plot with bad acting LOL...what is joe doing?

I think Joe had talked with Dana at some point in the days after Jon busted hot, this is the script Dana wants Joe to start spreading -- hoping it will catch on with the public.

The UFC is desperate for a star, they need Jon back no matter how many times he pisses hot or fucks up -- UFC is pulling out all stops to get Jon back and as sad as it may be but this is the best bullshit story they could come up with....lol.

Joe is just shilling for his boss - nothing more, nothing less.

They knew from day one they were going to let him back in the ring, it's all about how now. Let some time expire, spin up some story, and it'll be gobbled up. Another time the man gets enabled, another time he gets off. He's getting the Brock/Romero treatment.

UFC wants to make money fights so it's not hard to understand why they would take the stance that they have.

Jon Jones shouldn't be able to use the "I didn't mean to do it" excuse anymore though. He is really bizarre, while all this stuff is going on he has a family at home having to witness all of his mistakes.

Wish he would get it together for them, and all MMA fans, we've missed out on some great fights.

Then why did they bring in the USADA, if they wanted fighters like Bones to continue? That was not a money making move. I think they wanted to shift the control of the testing to themselves so they can make these exception as we see here while claiming to be a clean organization. The cake and eat it type of shit.

What's even cooler Juicy Jon is that we don't have to blame DCs greatness
on anything we don't understand cuz he simply fights clean and doesn't act an
ass in his public life constantly in trouble with the police.
