Good move by them imo
Amazon is huge and they will get good advertising most likely to a lot of potential casual fans

Smart move for Amazon, but I don't think it will do diddly for the UFC. It is just another PPV ($64.99) option. Not many casual fans or newbies are going to see some mktg on Prime and then drop $65 imo.

I'm a hardcore fan l, and I'm not dropping $65 unless the card is stacked from top to bottom. 222 isn't.

Amazon is also in the negotiations pool with others to stream Fight Pass... so they're definitely getting in the game with this move. Fight Pass or not, this can only be good for the UFC to be available to more people.

I would assume they'll make it available to a world wide audience. While most overseas localz have it available on free TV as a part of a paid network deal... there are likely a lot of placez that don't have that deal... & have no other way to watch... (outside of illegal streaming)... so maybe this reaches a whole new audience? I'm just guessing... I'm not sure how far Amazon's reach is worldwide.

This just means it will be easier to watch on firesticks or other similar devices. It is when Amazon start offering it free with Prime or something like that it becomes interesting.

You are definitely right it is good for Amazon for sure
I just see moving into giving additional streaming options rather than straight tv as a positive
It shows me they are looking to the future

Additional advertising to younger people who may not even know of your product is a positive as well

I guess I'm just looking at the positives because I don't really see any negatives

Drop in the bucket if that. It's just internal corp PR. Some dipshit on the WME sales team is running around now talking about how he "landed Amazon" and is foing to move up the ladder.

TBF ... John from SBJ just contacted me to tell me that he wish he knew before publication and said good job on breaking the news.
That is twice with SBJ, but I completely believe him
From all accounts I heard he is a good guy & I thank the people that contacted him to tell him

The person that negotiated it is the Exec VP of WME.
Not much room to move ;)
But it is part of the bigger negotiations between the two regarding Fight Pass.

How do you decide which words end with z and which end with s?

I assume this is as well as the normal way of watching? I don't know streaming to multiple TVs in a bar would work.

Sound it out bro

Actually, I'm not that consistent with it...

Like the word "is" clearly endz with a "Z" sound... but its a bit much to spell it "iz" imo. or the word "Doesn't" clearly haz a "Z" sound... but it's a bit much to spell it "doezn't"... so I typically just do it how I feel to do it.

I may need some rehab on it to be honest. I know thingz are spelled the way they are accepted... but I've just been doing it for a couple decades & I get a kick out of it. All in all, it's just a bit of fun.

It's Hollywood. Looking like you are doing awesome stuff is FAR more important than actually accomplishing anything........

Bingo

Especially with how horrendous these cards are, the recent PPVs and all upcoming PPVs are absolutely horrendous cards for PPV, the only haflway decent one is the Tony Khabib card, even that's not that great of a main card honestly

my firestick already has ufc ppv seems like the only difference is that amazon will be the provider now instead of what ever they are using.

Just throwing ideas out, but it also might be a way for the ufc to get rid of some overhead? how much of a cut from the ppvs do cable companies take? 50? if amazon is charging a smaller rate than the cable companies, then it could make sense. amazon is a powerhouse as well. what you are saying about them reaching new markets makes sense.
