He's the best of mates, weird how that happens if he used to beat his mum up. I'm a weakling but if my dad ever hit my mum I'd never speak to him again.
Like he said, it was the norm in his house, thats why he fought so much as a kid because he thought the natural conclusion to an argument was violence. Its pretty sad really, and it gives an insight into the mindset of a school bully who has problems at home.
He gives 100% credit to his wife, she has put him right really. Happy to see that he has put a stop to that way of thinking with his own family because I know in-family violence can be passed on through generations of family.
I've seen it first hand how domestic violence in childhood can find its way into future relationships and it's really really sad.
He dotes on his wife and kids. I know everyone here gives Mike shit for all his bravado and persona, but he really is a good guy.
I've seen it too, not with me personally but I come from an old mining town, my parents knew the mothers and fathers of kids who were dicks at my school and they've told me their parents were like that too.
Bisping puts his family first, he's not flashy and doesn't spend a lot on himself, his only real luxury is his home, everything he earns is for his kids future. When you look at how things could have turned out for Bisping, you have to respect what he has done in his personal and professional life - at least I do anyway.
