Alex Oliveira steps in to meet Carlos Condit at UFC on FOX 29

The bad news came on Monday: A knee injury forced Matt Brown out of his UFC on FOX 29co-main event bout against Carlos Condit.

Tuesday, though, brought better news: Not only would “The Natural Born Killer” stay on the April 14 card in Glendale, Ariz., but the replacement welterweight fight is intriguing in its own right: Alex Oliveira has agreed to step in and fight Condit. MMA Fighting confirmed an initial report by Combate.

Agreed. Condit's heart didn't seem fully in it his last time out.
