Rose won that fight clearly. JJ had some good moment in the 3rd and 4th but that's about it. Rose won round 1, 2 and 5 clearly and busted up JJ in the process. She also had Jj on her heels far more controlling the octagon and showing well timed aggression.

It wasn't even a bad score to give it to Rose 49-46. I didn't give her the 4th, but I can see why the judges would. But it was an easy 48-47 for Rose at the very least.

Made no sense for Joana to be surprised at the score or for her to be on top of the cage after the fight.

And Joana talking about total significant strike numbers is a little silly. Fights are scored on a round-by-round basis.

Wow. Still talking about the last weight cut, saying she didn't leave it in the hands of the judges even though it went to a decision, talking mostly about the past and she's accomplished, saying she's the Queen and more. If she doenst know how to have some good self reflection she's going to have a hard time getting back on top. Really is too bad. She was one of the few WMMA fighters I've followed and liked but this side of her really makes me want to root against her. So happy Rose kept her belt.

I thought Rose landed a lot of great shots in the first 1-2 minutes of round 5 that won her the round without the takedown.

i think JJ is just used to getting the 'consideration' that comes with being champion. But Rose got that consideration this time. If they fought the exact same fight, but JJ had the belt, it would have been a 3-2 decision for JJ

Oh geez.....I think I meant to say that fighters don't have to dominate in order to win a round. it seems people think that...they can be very close but they are still 10-9. Don't mean someone got smashed and someone didn't. She may well have thought she won all the rounds in the heat of the fight.

I agree and that’s why I don’t think it should be shocking she thought she won. It was a close fight that wouldn’t have been a robbery by any stretch if Joanna got the nod.

It would have been a robbery if Joanna won, she won rounds 3 and 4, Rose clearly, I mean clearly won 1,2 and 5.

3 rounds to 2 is clsoe but the rounds where easy to score

If you give Joanna 2 out of 5 rounds and she only needs 3 to win , I don’t see that as a robbery.

To me it is not so much that it was 3 to 2, it was that the rounds where easy to score.

An example of a fight that I think the wrong guy won but was not a robbery, Iaquinta vs Masvidal, I thought Masvidal edged it out, but round 2 was hard to score.

To me this fight was super easy to score I know the judges all scored it 49-46 but not with the same rounds, but to me it was very easy to score.

Rounds 1 and 2 where obviously for Rose, rounds 3 and 4 obviously for JOanna, round 5 was super easy to score for Rose.

If the rounds where tricky, that is different.

Condit beat Lawler but they gave it to the wrong guy, Lawler, but those rounds where tricky to score.

This was different, glad they got it right.
