He Beat AL Laquinta...winner over 4 of his last 5 opponents and he KOed all those guys....AL had 4 KOs in the last 5 fights(got dominated by Jorge Mas...no shame in that)

Bro, we've been having some good talks here so please don't start strawmanning me here. Never once have I ever referred to Khabib as as scrub or anything negative at all. All I'm doing is criticising his performances a little more than his biggest supporters. I bring up Khabib going 6/15 in his TDs that fight because the most common thing we all hear is shit like " Khabib takes anyone down at will, easy work". You have cage and coaching experiences so I take you input with value but can you really watch Khabib and say he doesn't have some serious holes in his game? Mainly in the striking and striking defense areas? I mean a little 3 piece combo to set up the shot would be nice to see right? Maybe e a level change or 2? Ever fighter who's been a pure specialist will get sorted out if he can't evolve his game.
As far as GSP Khabib is a ways away from being at his level. Using Penn who's known for some of the best TDD isn't a really strong argument here imo. Khabib just won the title by beating Al on short notice. Lets see him fight Tony, Conor, T @The Highlight , Lee and 5 other back to back and then move up and get another title and we'll get back to comparing him to Georges.
to be fair at least two of those takedowns last fight were just fakes and allowed Khabib to get loose with his hands...AL was scared of the mat and that was used against him the last three rounds IMO...so that stat is a bit misleading
And there are gifs of some really nice 2-3 punch combos in the last fight if you look...they didn't set up a takedown...but I honestly got the impression KM wanted rounds and was enjoying beating Al at his own game(headhunting)
I didn't say you called him a scrub..ppl are acting as if he is..Tony gets dropped by lando vanatta on short notice..I know khabib isn't on gsp level... but in saying that there isn't a 55er that will beat khabib...
He himself said he don't like ending fights early (not saying he could) cuz the thrill and work he gets gong longer is what he's in it for..God they need to make khabib vs conor asap.. I'm over trying to set up the Tony fight it's cursed

Khabibs jab was a pleasant surprise so I'm happy to give credit there. I just cringe at the singles shot from waaaaay out so often. If he doesn't find alternative ways to get it to the mat it's just a matter of time before he gets leveled.

In khabib defense I've not seen him shoot that single the way he was that fight.. he will get better in that facet... his chin, pace and cardio are what sets him apart.. he's a gorilla and Like rashad said how many wrestlers get discouraged if their takedowns get stuffed.. not khabib.. he will shoot all night and make you defend.. if He's forcing you to defend you aren't hurting him or subbing him...his fight IQ is superb and is good enough to be average striking.. he is awkward striking and that is hard for guys to deal with
Styles make fights and conor can't handle bigger grapplers..

Khabib isn't a submission specialist. Conor let Mendes take him down bc he knew Chad couldn't submit him and that Chad would eventually tire out.
If Conor doesn't want Khabib to take him down, Khabib won't take him down.
Khabib had shitty performance and still won in dominating fashion from 1 day notice changed opponent who had full training camp.
Conor got slapped, choked out, embarassed by 10 day notice opponent who was partying in Cabo
So he let nate take him down? Why didn't he finish nate? Khabib don't have to be a sub specialist when conor offers up his neck or arm for the Americana
his body is kinda weird ....I can't put my finger on it
maybe because he is so Big in the Back (not glutes you preverts)...his body is a bit more animal looking than human in a few ways...again can't put my finger on it.
He does have a very heavy looking upper body head and brow...thinking he has a thick forehead(bone wise)
