What about Carlos vs. Cowboy ?

I won't pretend like I know a lot about MMA - even though I've been watching ever since the first UFC fights- or to be any good at analyzing styles , so I'm curious what some of you think about this match up .
A few short years ago, Carlos was interim WW champ for about 15 minutes , but several subsequent losses may have taken a toll on his confidence . Anybody have the real goods on how things are going with him ?

I like the fight though ; no way it's a stinker .

I love it, awesome stylistic matchup.
I want to give it to Cowboy on strength and hardness(beep), but the best Condit is hard to beat.
I think they were supposed to box a few years ago but it never happened.
If nothing else, they need to armwrestle.

Prime Condit would get this done with ease. At this stage in his Career its going to be a tough fight.

My first WEC favourite in fact, I didn't used to watch it till I saw one of his fights.

I was so WTFies that he was in the same weight class as the UFC had.

Yeah, same here. "... From Albuquerque.." (where I lived for 50 years) was all I needed to hear, plus, he was kicking some ass.
That was before I knew that a certain place I drove by every day on the way to the post office was one of the big MMA gyms .
Saw the sign hundreds of times without it even registering . Some time after repeatedly hearing "Jackson / Winklejohn" on the UFC shows ,
I thought "hey, wait... that's that place ....that was a gymnastics gym in ... the 1970's
It's tiny . Even the Jackson/Wink Academy downtown is kind of small. You know, I expected some huge, sprawling facility .

Yes. It's weird, so many times I've heard so and so is training at Jackson's .
I'm just some geezer MMA fan , never got into combat sports myself ,
but I went to Elite OSM for therapy several times , which is located
inside the J/W Academy. One day I'm upstairs waiting for my appointment,
where you can look down on the training rings . I stand there feeling like some
stalker perv, acting all casual of course, while I'm watching Overeem train in
one cage, and Big Rig in the other. A bit surreal . I'm sure they'd frown on
a goon like me filming anything, but other fighters , maybe not.

Well, that's my big connection to the sport. Aside from that, I got nothing
