well his striking was more diversed and atleast he wasnt point striking the whole fight. He actually tried to knock out him out with the punches... otherwise it normally the kicks he tries that with.

Yes he did use his hands a lot more.. And maybe not exerting so much energy throwing those wild kicks suited him better.
