I will not spoil anything, but if you watch it get back to this thread and I will discuss it with you.

It has subtitles FYI...so I know that rules out about half of you, and it is long so that rules out the other half

Werner Herzog directed it and it broke him mentally and financially...Truly was a wildly ambitious endeavor to make it...Most believe it pushed him away from Big Films and into the Documentary realm which he has been amazing at....see GrizzlyMan...see Cave of Forgotten Dreams...etc.

Great film. The Herzog/Kinski connection was terrific.

Herzog put out a documentary on Kinski called "My Best Friend", it's pretty interesting and there are a lot of outtakes from this film with Kinski flipping out hardcore on the set of Fitzcarraldo
