Bellator Ratings - Fedor Proves He's Still not a Draw

Paramount/Spike TV viewership only and figures do not include +3 DVR ratings. Bellator on Paramount Saturday night drew 581,000 viewers and another 169,000 on CMT. I'm pretty sure this event was available to stream on their app and website, but since we're only talking TV ratings, that's doesn't factor in. The West Coast tape delay can't be a good thing, and it clearly illustrates that Coker's power as head of the promotion is very limited, even though he'll be the one to fall on the sword when that day comes.

I think they need to add more known names to that card - no more patricky pit bull bros, no more cave man, none of the guys that were fighting after the danis fight and before fedor, i have no idea who they were.

Bellator needs to stop trying to promote the guys that have been on the roster forever and havnt climbed up the numbers ladder besides guys like Chandler, brennan ward, Lima and a few others.

I thought with the MMA interest decline, 1.2m would be a hi-5

I'm curious about the peak numbers. I haven't seen if Meltzer reported on them yet (they usually come from him)

To me, the shock is the extremely low CMT numbers.

MMA is pretty cold now. I think Nunes/Pennington might break the record for UFC's lowest PPV numbers in the modern era

I asked Dave Meltzer that & he had two reasons he was told:

1. Viacom is not interested in messing with their schedule to change it for sports.
2. They think it would do lower over-all ratings by airing it 6pm West Coast

Here's a weird take for you that came to me while driving... (Cruise control set so relax)


Ratings were hurt due to being on a Saturday and because the main card only had 10 minutes of fighting over the span of 2 hours they weren't able to maintain viewers for the entirety of the event.

That's right... 5 1st round finishes potentially hurt viewership haha

I expect the +3's to put this at about a million. It was our second largest gate ever as well, second only to MSG.

I can tell you that everyone in a suit on my end is stoked as a whole about the show.
