Yeah and Rockhold's boxing isn't great.Gus is too long for rockhopper
He’s not taking gus down....gus could take him down thoughYeah and Rockhold's boxing isn't great.
Luke has some of the best top pressure in the game, but he'll never get Gus down.
That's funny. DC is gonna be pissed lolI also read this may be for interim LHW title.
I don't it. Those two must talk and are buddies so I'm thinking DC is done at LHW. If he beats Stipe I could see him defend once or twice but he's pushing 40 and gas great options in commentating and coaching. That's funny. DC is gonna be pissed lol
I'm driving right now but look up a thread I made about an interview that UFC tonight did with Gus.I don't it. Those two must talk and are buddies so I'm thinking DC is done at LHW. If he beats Stipe I could see him defend once or twice but he's pushing 40 and gas great options in commentating and coaching.
As far as Luke vs Gus I'm not counting either out. Should be a pretty decent fight imo .
From February.Luke's big advantage was using his size and height. Now he's fighting a giant like Gus? I say Luke is gonna get knocked out
If dc beats stipe (big if). And jones comes back they could do dc Jones at hw.I don't it. Those two must talk and are buddies so I'm thinking DC is done at LHW. If he beats Stipe I could see him defend once or twice but he's pushing 40 and gas great options in commentating and coaching.

maybe it will reinvigorate him but I have my doubts, he's moving up later in his career than aj did, plus Luke is not a big puncher at 185 so I can't see him bothering a guy like gus. From February.
“I’m not too excited about making that weight cut again,” Rockhold said. “I just don’t feel nearly as strong, powerful, quick. It takes a lot out of me.
”Pretty much Bisping is the only reason I would torture myself to get back there. That’s a loss that doesn’t sit well with me. I know the UFC is very interested in that fight and will pursue it on their end. If he doesn’t accept it, there’s no reason for me to stay at 185.”
Rockhold made his intentions of eventually moving up to 205 pounds first public before the Romero bout at UFC 221 in Perth, Australia earlier this month. Immediately after falling to “The Solider of God,” two-time title challenger Alexander Gustafsson called him out on social media. That’s a fight that caught Rockhold’s attention.
Rockhold: I’d ‘torture myself,’ stay at middleweight only for Bisping trilogy
I'm hoping Luke performs better at LHW the same way AJ did once he stopped the huge cuts. As I posted above it's only about a 2" height and reach advantage for Gus and he's not known as a powerful guy at all, hasn't shown one lunch KO power either. Gus has far better boxing but his ground game isn't near Lukes. Gus probably has better cardio but maybe Rockhold can feel better without the cut. As far as in cage Rockhold is one of my fsvofavor, super talented guy with lots of tools.
I think he beats Bisping 8/10 times.maybe it will reinvigorate him but I have my doubts, he's moving up later in his career than aj did, plus Luke is not a big puncher at 185 so I can't see him bothering a guy like gus.
funny when Luke won the 185lb title I thought he'd be champ for years, but I guess his best days are behind him
Bisping is more deserving of an interim title shot than Rockhold is.Michael Bisping hints at interim title fight between Luke Rockhold and Alexander Gustafsson, says he’s done at 185
“Honestly, I don’t know.” Bisping said, “But, I hear the last person I knocked out may be fighting for an interim belt. If he wins I’m in. I’m 225 right now and pretty ripped. Never making 185 again.”
Bisping didn’t refer to Rockhold by name, but the last person that he knocked out was indeed Luke Rockhold
@Joemacka
and these guysBisping is more deserving of an interim title shot than Rockhold is.
I was taking your post seriously until you mentioned Shogun.and these guys
2 Volkan Oezdemir
3 Glover Teixeira
4 Ilir Latifi
5 Jan Blachowicz
6 Jimi Manuwa
7 Mauricio Rua
7 Ovince Saint Preux
1
9 Corey Anderson
1
10 Misha Cirkunov
1
11 Patrick Cummins
12 Tyson Pedro
13 Gadzhimurad Antigulov
14 Gian Villante
15 Jordan Johnson
maybe even Shogun deserves a shot...He landed good on Gus in their first fight and Gus had to shoot takedowns to avoid the strikes and win on points...was 29-28 in most eyes
Gus has improved since then of course
and Rua has the longer winning streak going on than the other top guys
Sick fight!
