A group of UFC employees were robbed at dawn this Friday at a kiosk on Barra da Tijuca beach, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The bar is in front of the Windsor Marapendi hotel, which hosts the organization's athletes and officials, who promote UFC Rio 9 at the Jeunesse Arena on Saturday.
The kiosk, near the Barra 7 Post, was a popular meeting point for Ultimate employees throughout the week. According to one of the victims, who asked not to be identified, a group of three armed people carried out the action and assaulted about 20 people, including former UFC officials, members of the press office and even the owner of the kiosk. They carried wallets, cell phones and purses, some of which contained the employees' passports.
"We were at the bar, they came in later, they stayed for about five minutes calling the action.
