The outside will be programmable as well
yeah Thanos tried his best to penetrate that dome but failed miserably with the available weaponryI saw this on the Simpsons movie
spheres are weak structures? looks like a large arch to me, and I thought arches are immensely strong when constructed correctlywill believe it when I see it
and talk about a target
Hack into that shit and put some wild shit on them monitors
and a sphere? seems fragile and I wonder how thick the walls will be to support all of that tech
I prefer outdoor concerts myself
No a sphere is very strongspheres are weak structures? looks like a large arch to me, and I thought arches are immensely strong when constructed correctly
yeah good points. I just google searched dome buildings and there is a lot of variety, I'm sure it will be great. No a sphere is very strong
But this is made up of many diff materials and I just can't personally picture it at the moment
The mock up concept drawings don't show much of the actual construction beneath the screens/monitors...I am thinking the walls of sphere or arch will have to be twenty feet thick or so for strength and maintenance.
I don't doubt it is possible at all I just think it may look quite a bit diff from the drawings.
That's where @Fedor>GSP>Bisping was conceivedyeah good points. I just google searched dome buildings and there is a lot of variety, I'm sure it will be great.
I think the screens will be lightweight too given the advancements in that field, I'd be surprised if the structure is not almost entirely made out of metals and plastics.
the way you're describing it makes me think of the cover over chernobyl lol
All 3 are her. She just looks like something from the flyall 3?
I for one believe Jeff Goldblum is a very handsome man (no homo)All 3 are her. She just looks like something from the fly
thanks for imagesyeah good points. I just google searched dome buildings and there is a lot of variety, I'm sure it will be great.

yeah that first dome was a bad example, it has a central support running up the middle (presumably) I just think they are likely to keep the outer/inner shell relatively thin, and they should be able to get the screens and the wiring inside the frame and then fit the glass on the outside and a lighter plastic material on the inside. The big issue is the weight of the screens, if it's negligible then they won't need it to be any stronger than various other domes, especially as there won't be any walkways (except for maintenance?)thanks for images
dome in first image is probably 6 or 7 feet thick(glass and walkway not just glass) and has no outer shell/screen
and that dome is much smaller
The arch that supports that dome provides me an image of what it will take to build this new venue...I imagine ten or 12 of those arches to support the new venue and a thin screen around it as an outer shell...so I still think 15 feet to 20 feet thick sounds right
I think it sounds great...although I don't think all the screenage is needed but I am old school as far as bells and whistles goes for events and effects
quite a building for sure...bet you could have a helluva concert in thereyeah that first dome was a bad example, it has a central support running up the middle (presumably) I just think they are likely to keep the outer/inner shell relatively thin, and they should be able to get the screens and the wiring inside the frame and then fit the glass on the outside and a lighter plastic material on the inside. I love architecture, I often find myself just looking around at how amazing and random our towns and cities are. I have no doubts they will build this dome but I have a strong feeling I'll never get to enjoy it first hand. I hope I'm wrong.quite a building for sure...bet you could have a helluva concert in there
@Rambo John J & @Jehannum
You guys are knowledgeable, but you are both forgetting it is all about ball bearings
I like old architecture...but new stuff is also impressiveI love architecture, I often find myself just looking around at how amazing and random our towns and cities are. I have no doubts they will build this dome but I have a strong feeling I'll never get to enjoy it first hand. I hope I'm wrong.
I don't discriminate either, we have plenty of both to appreciate here in EnglandI like old architecture...but new stuff is also impressive
