I'm a fan of both guys but Wonderboy has this. Too many people shitting their pants over Till beating up Cowboy who's a high milage LW. Don't get me wrong Cerrone is gold but he's got a habit of buckling under pressure in bigger fights and doesn't do well when guys are backing him up. That plus Till was way to big of a WW for Cowboy to handle physically.

Wonderboy has way more tools and has fought much tougher guys (wins over Rory, Whittaker, Hendricks). I see him fighting from range majority of the fight and catching Till with some great counters looking for a finish.

Thompson wins late in the third via TKO.

I think Wonderboy has this fight under control. Cage experience and level of competition. Good style match up though, should be a killer/entertaining fight... it will be a leather-slinging good time.

till slips a WB timed karate counter and gets a good shot in and changes the fight

Till wins TKO when he turns it into a brawl

Or WB plays distance like a G and wins decision

im a firm believer in the law of attraction. it's no infallible. but till is nearly as skilled as thompson, and arguably more athletic. the "fighter" gap is small enough (if at all) that the law of attraction will prevail. till Believes in himself with a capital B. he envisions a future with his hand raised. does thomson Believe in himself? if not, he's in trouble

I might be underestimating Till again, but I'm picking Wonderboy

Can you think of a time where Thompson has ever been drawn into a brawl? I can't. I really can't see Till being the guy to get him off his gameplan. Thompson always looks calculated and composed no matter what. Tills best chance is the fight in close or smother against the cage and clinch. I don't think he has the footwork to control the fight like that.

I wouldn't put money on it if that is what your asking...only times I have seen wonder boy in a brawl is when he got dropped

I have barely seen Till, but his footwork looks great from what I have seen.

What I envisioned when I typed my first post was a karate lunge when WB senses an opening for his hands, Till slipping it and countering with a solid strike and WB would be in a brawl only because he is rocked.

I don't know if till has cardio and sometimes I just root for the underdog/newcomer when I am not invested in any particular fighter

I think the only two times Thompson has been dropped was against Woodley and I see them as Tyron just being faster in those particular exchanges. Iirc there was no brawling before or after. Woodley got on top briefly in one of them and landed some decent GnP though.

But again this Wonderboy fighting a big WW in championship form. Till has lots of potential but I think his win over Cowboy has been pumped up more than it should.

I don't think this is an easy fight by any means but i just see Thompson on another level still. I expect a finish or a pretty one sided UD.

I think SC MMA MD @SC MMA MD trians in the same club as Wonderboy. He should be able to answer your question about his self belief .

Stephen is very confident in his fighting abilities, particularly against strikers. He is healthy and ready to go. Pressure is on Till to deliver in front of his hometown crowd.

This is actually my biggest concern- both guys are very good counter strikers. Two high level strikers often leads to a LONG feeling out process that many fans hate.

Thompson’s style is so hard to figure out in the moment. I think Till will get frustrated and leave himself open, get dropped a couple times and lose by decision. Plus, Wonderboy has a chip on his shoulder being ranked #1, but RDA/Colby getting the interim fight.

This being said, two years from now, I could see this outcome being very different.
