While everyone is talking about Yair Rodriguez...possibly pricing himself out of the UFC & Combate Americas...

Leslie Smith wanted 100K per fight.
"Top 10" WMMA bantamweight (in a 17-person division)

Where are all of Leslie's offers?!?
Are promoters staying away from her?
Or does she not want to be signed to another promotion, lest it hurts her case against the UFC?

OP is being lame, who cares if she is worth 100K, what matters is she is speaking up for fighters rights, everything else is secondary. You support fighters or promoters?

100k is not a crazy amount to ask for. They could have counteroffered $50k or $75k if they wanted, but imo all she did was add a potn bonus to her show and win pay. It is an appropriate flat amount to request when requesting one with a raise.

She defeated Irene Aldana, got $25k/$25k plus fotn. That's $100k. She always shows up, so yes, imo Leslie Smith is worth $100k.

She also knows she can't keep beating prospects forever. At some point someone is going to make a name off of her. This is the right time in her career to ask for flat pay.

Legitimate question. Is any of you hardcore fans willing to pay good money to watch her fight? I fully support the fighters cause but that seems like a lot of money.

I can't imagine her being worth 100k a fight.

I liked watching her fight, she usually came to fight, but she's barely worth half that.

I can see promotions staying away from her. If you're Scott Coker, it's all fun and games while she's raging against the UFC. But if you sign her, you risk becoming the enemy if she becomes disenchanted with you.

No one outside her circle of friends and family would purchase a ppv because of her name. She adds zero unique value to any card.
This is nothing personal but try to imagine how much the quality would have dropped from any of the cards she has fought on....and you'll see my point.

I’m just going to go ahead and leave this here. Save this WMMA thread.

Joe lauzon has a fuck load of fotn bonus. He don't make a 100k yet is one of the most consistently entertaining fighters of the last 8 years or so. It's a shame when you look at it that way. The UFC pays guys like the reem hundreds of thousands of dollars more per fight than some of thier talents makes if they get there fight of the night awards inside a year.

Now,

In this particular incident.

Fuck no she isn't worth a 100k to fight. This shit reminds me of the 15 dollar mcdonalds pay. There's plenty of people willing to do it for less and she hasn't made the UFC money, I can't remember purchasing ppv cards because of a Leslie Smith fight.

Them guys that went to bellator got a good deal too, iirc they getting 150k

But let's be straight here, I wouldn't pay no 60 dorrar for no card headlined by king no vs Ryan bader. Ain't gonna happen
