Bisping is perfect for delivering content like that, you don't know whether he's hamming it up for his own amusement or for the networks

I imagine it is a tough pill to swallow for the veteran fighters who commentate. They appreciate the struggle to make it and how valuable a slot on a PPV card can be for someone’s budding career. They understand the economics of it, but as fighters who have been there, they all have a salty undertone or overtone in the case of Bisping) when commenting on Punk.

He was surprisingly good in xXx: Return of Xander Cage too
That movie was so bad and painful to watch. It was more like a joke of a movie that you might see being made by the characters inside another movie, you know?

But Bisping had the best acting in the whole film. I thought he was outstanding, even compared to the major vets. For sure they should call him in for more roles. I was impressed.

He definitely held his own alongside Tony Jaa, but yeah that franchise has always been pretty terrible all round. I keep watching them though, just accidentally missed the 5th or 6th one.

I agree but I also offer a different perspective.

I look at movies like that in the context of expecting the acting to be
bad. Thats part of what makes them fun. Sorta like a cheesy "B" movie where
the acting is so bad that everyone is in on it and just laughs at a fun silly movie

"CM Punk tried things that have never been seen before. This man is an innovator!
These techniques are off the wall... They wont work I hear people saying... and they'd
be right... they dont work."

LMAO

Bisping cracked me the hell up

It was a joke and even Egg realized it shoulda been on the prelims
I disagree, he did not. He said something along the lines of if Overeem could sell as much as Punk, then Overeem coulda been on the main card

Hindsight is 20/20, but he did not realize it.

Check out what he said at the post fight presser
Yes, he shat on Mike Jackson and said CM Punk has heart, that this was a wrap. Unless there is a longer version where he says “I apologize for what I said about Reem.” then I don’t think he realized or learned anything from this. He got his money for those paying to watch CM Punk.

He even said Fightpass, which is another thing you have to pay for.

Yeah he did. I kinda keyed in on him saying "I shoulda put this fight on fightpass"

I read that as him admitting it didn't belong on PPV and was a freakshow

I agree with that, saying that is him admitting he should have put it on Fightpass. But was that saying “Sorry Reem, I probably should have respected you a bit more, instead of mentioning drawing power, then disrespecting your drawing power?”

I’m saying he didn’t learn anything, besides “I should have put this on the other platform you pay on, and lets plug the Contender Series, they didn’t see that enough during the PPV.” Which yes, smart as a businessman, but I’m really straining the Reem part.

Edit: This is also just an assumption, but I fully expect he would do this again. Not with Punk, but with whomever. Sean Gannon was one, not up there with Punk in popularity, but hmm. Or Kimbo who had a more successful, but similar run in performances under the Zuffa banner with gassing, he did have that win though. Good shit. He hasnt learned anything

Yeah Egg is gonna Egg. Lol

He also shifted the blame onto Mike as if he wasn't the one who booked him on the main card.

That said I think this is about as much apologizing we're ever gonna get from Dana.

I think he'd have been a lot happier if Jackson had at least tried to get the finish, it's not much to ask from a pro fighter lol
