This is a pretty good take on it, seriously. As much as I'd love to agree I feel it just comes down to money in the UFCs pocket. As soon as they feel is not worth it financially it'll be axed. Personally I wouldn't miss it enough to complain about it.
WMMA has always been nothing but a (lame) sideshow until it was nothing but a vehicle for Gina and then Ronda. The mainstream douchebag media picked up on it because of the "ggrrrll power" angle - "she could beat a man" bullshit. Once the Ronda scam was exposed I wouldn't expect the MS media to EVER touch it again - not even with a 10 foot stick. They felt very burned and tricked by the UFC bullshit. So we are left with this boring sideshow that really won't evolve at all unless a pretty female fighter shows and ACTUALLY beats a man...

OP is a beautiful man

masculine as the day is long and has a quiet calm confidence

Strong hands and women flock to him

he is never compensating and has a giant micropeen

was never a fan of WMMA myself so I agree with this thread

and I love Gina

WMMA sucks mostly, let's be honest, everytime we see a WMMA fight is when we get on our phones or go to the bathroom or walk the dog, unless its the rare high quality WMMA fight.

I think best scenario would be to hate the champs fight in UFC events, and ditto girls ranked top 10 in their weightclass, but if you are out of the top 10 then your fights are shown in invicta

Thats what I desire

if it's top 5 and champ then I'm liking this idea a lot

That also is solid stuff
I'm open to it being adjusted if a weight class is stacked, 135 for example if it gained more fighters instead of losing them to 125 and 145, but it should still be about them generating interest individually and not just being ranked, if a division sucks then forcing the top 5 on us isn't going to help. What about ONLY title fights remaining in the UFC and then they can cherry pick fights of interest, at least until there's actually matchups worth seeing? There is going to be a problem no matter what they do, but I hope they try something

Holly Holmes is 2-4 in her last 6 fights and is now being talked about possibly fighting for the title at bantamweight because she won 1 fight at featherweight.

And this is supposedly the "strongest" women's division smfh...

they are running to 125 because no one can suggest they fight Cyborg at 145 if they are down there :D she's wiped out 2 divisions if you consider that Nunes is ducking her too. Dana opened the escape hatch by introducing that weight class

I agree.
Time to carve the fat off with a machete.

All the women can fight in Invicta except Cyborg, Rose, and Joanna could fight as the main event of the Prelims.
Maybe Nunes too but depends on her opponent

Top 5 is fine iwth me, if you have only title fights and top 5 in each weight class on ufc card, that would mean about 1 chick fight every 2 or 3 events, that is a great ratio.

Guess I'm the odd man out. The girls delivered some of the most exciting fights this year.

You guys are nuts. Yeah 145 is shit and 135 is stale as fuck without Honda.
Everyone hated her and when she left this is the result. You got what you wanted.
A stale as fuck division

But 115 is one of the most exciting divisions we have and they
brought us some great fights this year.

I'll never prefer watching sweaty dudes over women. To each his own though...

Name them please.
Every fight Joanna was in to start.

Rose brought it and delivered massively this year.

Claudia had some bangers with JJ too

Jessica Andrade is a tank with a sweet booty to boot

Bullet Valentina is gangster

Amanda Nunes been wrecking fools in devastating fashion

But I realize I'm the odd man out so I'm not gonna sway anyone.

This year Jj has fought once vs Rose.

Claudias only fight this year was the other night but I'll admit it was far better than I expected.

Tank booty has only one fight as well vs Tacos and iirc it was a let down.

Bullet is gangster sure but her last fight wasn't notable and her opponent is hardly known.

Not trying to be a dick bud but as far as "The girls delivered some the most exciting fights this year." I can't agree at all. I actually feel this is the year WMMA has shown a big drop on fun fights.

Oh no offense taken. I shouldn't have said "this year".

What I mean is that practically every fight JJ has been in was awesome.

Rose was just awesome this year

Bullet... thats kinda what I mean. You have a gang of talent below 135. If you move them to Invicta
you're going to kill that talent before it sprouts

There were a ton of stale ass men's fights this year compared to the girls at 115

Just my opinion.

I feel it just comes down to money in the UFCs pocket.
That should be said in every thread lol

Early on the Fertittas & Dana covered it up well, but it was always about maximum profit and the business model and business was sold on that principle.

I get fans wanting things to be altruistic, but as someone that ran businesses, I realize that it is easy to be altruistic when it is not your money.

WME manages the UFC. they answer to a lot of high profile investors (3 major companies with various partners within).
They could give a rats ass about altruism.
They paid billions to make money.

Sometimes I catch crap for pointing that reality out, but anybody that can't see that is foolish.
