I joined the UG when I first got into MMA (UFC 86/TUF Season 7). Eventually conversation and insight became very poor compared to what it once was

For example; I was once blown away that Fedor took an opponent down while going backwards, then someone then educated me on how thats done. Compared to later when it just turned into gimmicks trying to be gimmicks, the JRE podcast, on top of there seemed to be a bubble(?) there?

Then someone posted a link to this, great mix of insight and humor. Can get many different views on an MMA topic, and when difference of opinion happens, usually done in good fun/debate/conversation

Mostly everyone here likes MMA and we discuss it. Nothing else.

Pages later the guy shows up and explains he was either drunk or just quickly typing on his phone and the actual message was meant to be "I would watch it. That means they're naked!" This in reference to how scantily clad women's volleyball players are. So then a poster named Hocky Balboa went to a UFC and was captured on film during a fighter's walkout, possibly for the main event, wearing a UG tshirt with a huge sign that said the famois phrase. I think it may also have had a Werdum troll smile mask attached. It was one of the more meta moments in the UG's history.

So for that reason, our site is forever inextricably tied to the UG. Its culture is very different, but its co-founder's very name is steeped in UG lore. Thankfully he shortened it, which disassociates us somewhat.

I post on Sherdog and a few months back I schooled some mod on a film, he thought one thing about this movie but I pwned him in front of everyone. Ever since that all my threads are getting sent to the Dump. Sad! He really holds a grudge.

That's what I like about this place... you guys have no choice but to suffer through my threads!

Well googling some Jacobear stuff, I came across a “best of 2013 OG threads” thread and realized there were some amazing 2013 threads because both of these happened that year.

Splinty let me borrow his yacht for a weekend. It had a TMMAC wrap on it, so I googled it.

Someone, Wild, I believe, PM'd me and invited me over. For once in my life I felt wanted...loved actually.

I was looking for a BJJ forum (FYI, don't mistype that in Google search), and it directed me here (after the first options of the other sites)... And everyone here was pretty cool, so I stayed
