His people did their research, he goes off on immigration, race and NFL players kneeling because he knows it gets his base all fired up and keeps them defending him while he does what he’s there for in the first place, give jobs and contracts to his business associates, destroy environmental regulations that interfere with his business interests, and line the pockets of his family and his billionaire cronies through tax cuts and stealing from your health coverage.

I hate to say it, but I'm coming around to him a bit. I don't know the answer for the immigration problem but I do like that he recognised his mistake and corrected it.
Don't get me into it because I'm honestly not intelligent enough about politics, but I admire that he can say he was WRONG and stop this separation from children and their parents.
I have tried with American politics a bit though, I even went to a Jeb Bush rally when I was still living in Norfolk.
He wasn't WRONG, He didn't create the law, be signed an executive order to negate it.

To be clear...these holds are people found illegal inside in the US and then are processed to see if they have a defense to prosecution. The usually don't.
Asylum seekers that arrive at the border point requesting asylum are offered asylum proceedding and not detained. They are also not granted immediate entry while awaiting that asylum judegment. A great majority claiming asylum are not granted it as they don't actually meet the definition.
The broken system and liberal claim of asylum by economic migrants is preventing our moral duty to provide actual asylum to real refugees.
The media missed (decided not to report on) a shooting of 22 people over the weekend since we all know they dont give a fuck. Immigration policy is what the flavor of the week was. Whatever they can do to put up a smoke screen to the IG report is what they will do. Unfortunate they are actually missing the real news story.
Liberals want them all released within the US and given a future court date, which 80-90% never show up for. They are against turning them back immediately. Great policies!
