John Ourand who breaks a lot of UFC financial news for SBJ was on Richard Dietsch podcast & said he expects Brock/DC to be on ESPN.
I'd be shocked to see that happening.
He is a great source, but they would lose tens of millions (unless ESPN forks up extra money)

Ourand is the guy that broke the news that Viacom met with UFC in May to discuss UFC going there.

Yeah I mean they'd have to be paid whatever they'd likely make on PPV points, and that would be tens of millions of dollars, as FrankieNYC @FrankieNYC pointed out.

It can't be completely ruled out (there is some precedent with Cain-JDS on a smaller scale).

But the other thing to consider is that it would surely piss WWE and Fox right off.

A 1m buy PPV brings UFC about $40m from domestic broadcast alone

When UFC put Cain vs JDS on Fox, Fox paid extra.
But not that much lol
Brock has never done < 1 million PPV buys in a title fight.

The source is obviously credible but I don't see how it's going to work.

I tend to agree
But if it would be the kick-off to ESPN's coverage, I can see a possibility
they would need big advertising dollars to recoup though & the fight would need to break records

Its an interesting possibility
