I had it 48-47 Thompson, personally. I thought Till did a whole lot of nothing until the last round. Meanwhile, Thompson didn't land anything big but he successfully evaded Till's attacks while scoring with blitzing counter-attacks.
Not a great fight or performance by either guy, but I thought Thompson deserved the decision. Same goes for his second fight with Woodley.
But hey, I like Thompson a lot so I'm biased.

Yeah I agree but Til was the more aggressive fighter right?
So if the strikes landed were similar , and fights are judged on effective striking , grappling octagon control and aggression, judges may have given it to till for those last two.. right?
Or realistically, ufc didn’t want to have a third woodley vs wondeeboy snoozefest and the judges were told that...
Yeah, I mean, I didn't think it was a blowout for Thompson or anything, and it was a very close fight. I imagine hold the center and being the guy coming forward IS exactly why Till was given the win.
But Thompson is by nature a counter fighter and I felt like Thompson did a better job of being a counter fighter than Till did of being the aggressor.

but I also score crazy amount of 10-10 rounds so my scorecards are always diff from judges scoring to award wins/rounds for slight "advantages"
Thompson for sure won that fight.
But he has to blame himself first and foremost... his lack of activity makes it hard for the judges to give him those rounds
