Colby Covington, Matt Hughes & Dan Lambert were also in attendance at Dana's WH meeting.

Just imagine what the transcript would look like - if Leslie is successful.

POTUS: So where is Colby fighting for the real belt?

DANA: We're thinkin' about doin' it in Brazil. Colby's hated down there and it would help set up his next fight.

POTUS: Brazil?!? Why that shit hole?

COLBY: I couldn't agree more, Mr. President. They're a bunch of filthy animals and I'mma bash those nerds into the living death!

You can't disassociate them on this.
Leslie is the front person

A lot were turned off by her GoFundMe it seems
That halted the sign-ups

It seems to have changed the pulse from "for us" to "for me" in a lot of minds.

I'm not versed on what exactly good or bad this does, but it seems out of left field
Whats this about a GoFundMe? Havent heard about that

Weird thing is ...
If I was a fighter & dislike Leslie & how she is handling things, I would still sign the fn card.
Its anon & about info.
I could always vote "no" on a union or vote against her being in charge or in a high position.

It is asinine not to get info that can help your career

But if they don't care as a collective, I don't
The purpose of the card is to see if they can get enough for a "card check" and send them to the NLRB. Interestingly, this is the same tactic the Culinary Union used in their war with Station Casinos that eventually bled over to Zuffa, so you can definitely believe the UFC brass will do anything to prevent those cards from being signed. If the cards are turned over to the NLRB, the names can be revealed in a filing so fighters hesitating to sign are likely doing so out of very real fear of reprisal. It's not just getting information. If that were the case, she could just send out a mass email.

I agree with you that they need more solidarity, but we do have to take into account the strong anti-union pressure that's likely both explicit and implicit in the UFC organization.

Good post.

Overall I feel like Leslie is just wasting her time and money though. I don't think anything will really come out of this to satisfy her goals.

Has anyone considered the possibility that fighters are not happy with the people leading the effort?

Project spearhead has 2 hard-left progressives in charge, both of whom are poking at Dana White's relationship with the current President. You're turning off half the roster based on politics alone.
So you're saying that a lot of fighters are cutting off their nose to spite their face over actual politics?

That would be pretty stupid.

I seriously doubt that that's a factor.

I feel like fear of retribution and dreams of Anderson Silva money are more at play.

I mean, the ones that had Trump fans on the board also failed.

I feel like Leslie's lawsuit is doomed to fail but if fighters weren't so shortsighted, the vote and forming a union to collectively bargain could go really well.

A large % of the roster are not US based & not as used to Unions.
Many people from other countries don't want people in their business
That is a big part of the reason so many are weary of a union

but again ...
Signing the card is the first step/info to see what can be done if anything & they cannot even get 30%.

so as a collective they either don't care, don't want or don't wish to fight for it.

Stupid but their right to do what they want.

No - I did not. You said that.

I'm saying that the person who will lead the fighters to unionize or form an association -
that person needs to have above average credibility with as much of the UFC roster as possible.
Leslie & Kajan are not those people.
