If Khabib double legged Conor onto the pavement, he might have seriously injured him. Better to wait till the UFC pays him for it, and the only thing waiting on the ground to hurt Conor is Khabib's fists.

I will never understand the notion that showing up with a gang of guys & throwing dollies through windows is a manly thing to do, but the guy getting things thrown at him while in the bus is a coward?

Conor needs Khabib to come forward. That was my first thought when I read the OP
Khabib's fists would be on the ground waiting while Khabib double legged Conor? What is he, the stretchy guy from Street Fighter?

I have no idea who I am rooting for yet.
I like the excitement Conor brings to MMA, but he was a complete dick with that dolly incident & deserves a beating for acting like a punk-ass.

Had a conversation about this very thing with someone. She said that the idea is that when someone shows up with a bunch of people, the person they are after will feel like there is no fighting chance whatsoever. Sure if it was one guy, you could hurt him, but multiple? You’re shit out of luck.
I disagree with that notion, however. It is very clear what is actually happening there. I will use visual aids to demonstrate.

when he KO’d Aldo, Aldo’s momentum helped creating a stronger stopping force
this was also the case when Alvarez rushed in, but Alvarez was slower than Aldo so Conor had to throw 2 lefts to drop him
Khabib is slower than all of em but does move forward, constantly. Conor’s baiting for Khabib to rush in so he can catch him with the left, except if he misses, oh boy~
