Fuck Dana White for fucking over fighters and then expecting them do favours (promotions/last minute replacement fights) out of the goodness of their hearts. The guy plays cold business hardball whenever he likes, and then whines when fighters play the same game.

I say good on Conor for it. His job is to fight and be entertaining enough in it to create demand, he's done that flawlessly.
He's got to make sure he doesn't give his opponent an advantage in terms of time and energy spent on training as opposed to promotion.
He promotes himself well but it takes time and energy to do that, it becomes compounded by the fact he lives and trains more than a few time zones away from the nearest u.s. coast.
He's completely in the right on this.

There's a Slavic expression, it translates to "Give them a finger and they want the whole arm."
I find it more fitting than the English equivalent in this instance. I think he knows what he's doing based on his past experience.
The UFC went overboard with the Conor/Aldo promotion. It got dull watching them do the same schtick over and over.
They only need a couple decent promos and people will be all over this fight.

@Chad Wagner ’s blog on “Edging” and I think the UFC could learn a lot from him. In essence the UFC’s promos should tickle our balls with a feather and then slap a mouse trap on them just before we blow. Then on fight night tickle our balls again, but this time just let us blow all over ourselves.
They only need a couple decent promos and people will be all over this fight.

i was looking forward to conor saying some racist shit and pissing off the dagestsanis and muslims before this fight happens. it might have been smart on the ufc to mussel conor before this as muslims and dagestanis dont like infidels talking shit about their traditions and religion .if he said half the shit he said about brazil and to aldo to khabib and about russia/dagestan/islam he might run in to problems irl.
The issue with Conor/Aldo was they did it twice for one fight due to Aldo pulling out (injury)
Otherwise, I didn't think it was too much.
