Never did but have a buddy who is a hardcore gamer and was always telling me i should buy it.

I rarely play games but might actually pick this one up.

Animals that have kill me so far. Bear, cougar, wolves and my horse. Got scared and kick me in the head lol. See what others I run into and get killed by. Trying to be the Steve Erwin of RDR, getting as close to any animal I see. My girls are having a blast at our goofing around in this open world.
NPCs conversations are more complexed than previous Rockstar games. Basically can talk to anyone in the game world. The attention to detail is astounding. God of War and Spider-Man just lost game of year to this imho. Can wait for online.

Played it for a while and I like it a lot. Very detailed, the cinematics, the realism of the environment, it is alive. The customizations, crafting, hunting, robbing trains or people, it's all good.

The beginning is slow paced, it's an introduction and a tutorial in one. Rough to get through at parts but let the game slow you down, be immersed.

I'm almost overwhelmed with what to do. Missions, hunting, crafting....what should I donate....so much to do!

Agreed. I decided to go hunting for pelts and take my time doing missions. Maybe buy a new horse and get a nice saddle. So I can rob in style. Bow hunting and tracking legendary animals is fun. Prepare to get killed though.

I've tamed a cool horse. How do I put a saddle on it? I've got it back to my base. Gonna do some hunting myself.

Need to find somewhere to buy better gear and sell all the jewellery I've looted.

i'm waiting on 8700k to be back in stock for employees...thought it would be restocked before the game came out, I've been waiting over a year for RDR2.

Bonus - wife liked to watch me play RDR, like watching a TV show

She like this then. John and his family are in here. A prequel of the last. The conversations that are had are crazy. Feels like a lived world. Good story.

Also if you are wanted by the law as I am wear a bandanna. People will less likely to recognize you. Just don’t talk to the NPCs with it on as they will be weirded out.
