Hey everyone, now that the divorce is final, my busy ass summer at work is almost over as we wrap up a big push, and I cut cable I need a new hobby. I know I need to eat healthier so I figured and indoor garden would be a fun project. I'm trying to keep heat to a minimum, and electricity usage to a minimum as well.
I figure my best bet is to build a 4 x 4 grow box for one of my spare bedrooms (dont want to ruin the carpets), get like a 300-400w LED grow panel, a fan for pulling air out, and use tubs to grow in with organic soil.

Thoughts? Feelings? Emotions? Tips

im really torn between LED (im a nerd so its the obvious choice but expensive), HPS/MH cheaper and lots of heat, or CFL grow lights

Why not take up knitting while you are at it? You could knit yourself a gimp mask seeing as its obvious you love taking it in the ass?

I was pretty convinced you were actually trying to grow food. Here's another good resource that may or may not be relevant to your interests.

Sounds like good tomatoes.
I find the flavour is better with organic food though.

im thinking some autoflowering tomatoes and peppers
Autoflower peppers are a great solution in limited space.

Pfffft that's a great setup but I'm looking for a small personal setup for my tomatoes. That's way more tomatoes than I need.

I've grown tomatoes with a tray flood hydro system before, worked well but I think I over complicated things for a first timer.
